Installed the RCI roof rack last night. Took advantage of the 20% off pre-Black Friday sale. Install was easy even by myself. My kit was missing the 5/16 washers for the mount carriage bolts, but nothing my stash of miscellaneous washers couldn’t handle.

Drove 130 miles of interstate and very little wind noise, even at 75mph! I get a little whistling noise in crosswinds but that’s with no radio and it’s barely discernible. MPG is about .3 less than usual, but it’s also unseasonably warm today so that surely needs to accounted for. Super pumped.

Installed Spiker hood struts... essentially the same thing. Positive reviews for both. Excellent upgrade. More here:

I installed the redlines. Totally worth it if you open the hood a lot. Super easy. Just be sure to tape off the drill bit. I didn’t and have one tiny poke in my hood but wouldn’t notice unless you’re looking for it.

Man, that truck is so clean I'm embarrassed how dirty my truck is in comparison and I just washed it!

BTW, where did you get the TRD center caps? Those look great on your truck.

You have malls where you live?

    Lucky!

I kid you not, all I have is a Dollar General and a BP station.

very interested to hear if you have rubbing. That’s basically the setup I’m looking to run minus stock wheels.

Some hammer hangers, or equivalent, would look really good on this build. They also improve handling.

Sold my mid-height Yakima bed rack. Just a day later started searching for a rack to go over my softtopper and what do you know, a used Uptop Truss was just 5 minutes from my house.

Figured it would take half an hour to wash the truck. Ended up taking at least three hours before I was done. Doing this really makes you notice every scratch or rock chip. Back to like new again, though.

Ehhhh. Stuff happens. People dgaf about anything they all seem to be pretty self absorbed. My truck got smashed like this by some moron. I was in the truck.. I said WTF...???? The lady just shrugged and was like WHAT.. it's just a door ... I don't have time for this.

Ok.. have a nice day..... Go ahead and rush inside While I cave your door in with my foot and find a new parking space...

My son's truck got dented on both doors .... Same thing... People just don't care man. Kicking in the side (or busting the mirror, or windshield , etc) of someone's vehicle who does this would seem to make you feel better... Speaking from experience it does not .... I wind up even more angry afterwards... Like why am I reduced to doing this
