Can you still use the Tacoma backing plate with some cutting of course?

The wilwoods were nice. they are a 4runner caliper if you go with the rr racing kit. Since your a sport you can upgrade the master. I did not have that option but overall it was nice. but not creazy since I'm so heavy. you can also get the willwood kit direct that's setup for a tacoma and comes with 2 piece rotors.

So for the money, you weren’t impressed? I’m about 5000-5100lbs not including me in it.

No I liked it. I am sitting closer to 7k lbs fully loaded so way different scenario. I have since swapped all of my brakes to Stoptech front and rear (mainly since I had the stoptech rear and selected a Tacoma spec piston since I do not have any options to upgrade master).

The front only combo and the willwood with rear stoptechs was nice.

Would you say it’s worth it for my situation and big improvement? I’m debating these WILWOODS or the ALCON 14” BBK.

Definitely look into upgrading to the Tundra master and booster. Big brake setup alone will still be squishy.

I’m not worried about the squishy pedal but will keep in mind the Tundra master/booster, direct bolt on?

As long as I can get away without the master/booster and see a dramatic difference…I’ll be happy in the mean time.

I presume this brake kit is complete bolt on replacement? Do we need the brake line extenders?

It's completely bolt on. By brake line extenders do you mean a longer brake line? If you don't already have stainless braided lines, I'd swap for those. And if you already have SS lines, you don't have to upgrade.

They usually have holiday sales. Reach out to them and ask as well. Doesn't hurt.

Check out willwood direct their BBK kit isn’t. Too bad. SOS also will have a sale for sure. This kit on this thread is only calipers so once you buy rotors you’re close to alot of the other kits on sale. This is also t4r spec not Tacoma. I still liked it but the pistons are a tad bigger than the taco wants

Yes you can add Rotors but adds up. RR kit is nice. the big difference are they are T4R spec and the higher end Aero 6 calipers vs the superlite which you will see in the Tacoma Kit. The willwood Tacoma kit also comes with 2 piece rotors vs solid rotors.

If you do go with the RR kit def go with the DBA rotors. That is what I planned to add to my truck before swapping them out. Black Friday is here so def great option for any of the kits from any vendor.

Do I need the master cylinder upgrade if just doing front big brake kit right now? I guess better question, will it add performance?

Looking at the sos kit it says for rear disc conversion does it work without it?

    I have a 2015 trd sport.

Sorry for spamming group but you always seem willing to share knowledge
