Well, it finally happened. Our dog broke the lead on his leash this morning while doing his business and took off at full sprint into the road. Thank god the only car coming saw him and came to a stop in plenty of time. I've been working on yard boundaries and perimeter training all summer with him, but I guess I need to try something different. Damn near scared me to death chasing after him.

Yea I've held off on getting a dog until I can fence the entire back yard. I live on a very busy road and don't want to even fathom what would happen...

    Morning.
    Nice bike ride yesterday.
About 15 miles around the city.
Bike has a few more starts left in it before the battery pukes so
A new one will be in its future before spring.
    Coffee
    Gym
And other shit that I don’t know about at the moment.

    Let’s get at it..

    Happy Monday lads.

If I come across a complete low mileage take off, I'll do it. Missed on one this summer. Hemmed and hawed an hour longer than I should have. otherwise I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy new.

Got the ol' snow blower out today. People laugh at me for spending the extra $5 per 5 gallon can for ethanol free gas, but it started right up on the first pull on last years gas. Decided to change the oil while I had it out. Doesn't have but a couple uses on it since I changed it last, but has been in there 3 years. Still sparkly like all the other times. Engine runs strong still so I'll run er' till it blows! Put it back in the shed to hopefully not use it this winter, but forecasters are calling for otherwise... :annoyed:

    Nice.

Got grandma's out last weekend. Started in 3 pulls with 10% ethanol unstablized fuel. Runs just fine :anonymous:

There's two places right down the road from me that sell it, so I figure why not. Same place I get the offroad diesel for my furnace. Meanwhile the little snow blower at work has got a bad tank of 10% ethanol gas in it that is a year old. Won't start. Shocker...

If it'd that convenient then it's a no brainer. No stations sell ethanol free within 20 miles of us so it's not worth the drive! :annoyed:

Here is my 2011 stocker, Casper. Have owned it since new. She isn’t fast or the most comfortable of rides, but is damn dependable(Knocks on wood...) and has done everything I could ask of it! Plan on keeping it until it dies.

I use ethanol free for storage. Like you 20 miles away. When I go visit my boy I’m like 5 miles away
So when I go fishing etc, I’ll bring a can or just fill the boat in the fall and then siphon it out.
I also run everything dry when I’m done with it.
Still, I’ve had to change by boat motor fuel line 4 times since I’ve owned it. Gets rock hard and
would break off the connector if I wasn’t checking things out.

It used to be the closest place was 16.5 miles from the house, but near shopping so I'd make an excuse to do a little bit of shopping when I picked up gas. Then they built a new large convenience store 7 miles from here that sells the ethanol free. Then the place where I get my offroad diesel down the street from there put in an ethanol free pump. It's very popular around here.

Thank you Sig! It really is a great truck, even after recently buying a decked out 2023 TRD OR, I still enjoy driving this thing to work everyday. It just makes me smile. Crazy but true. Guess after 13 years I am kind of attached to it!
