My commute changed a little bit going from 2nd shift to 1st. I now leave the house around 4:10am so I rarely run into traffic. Driving all rural routes I do come across one milk truck occasionally. Now, getting off work at 3PM, yea that commute absolutely sucks! Used to take 25 minutes to get home leaving work at 11 pm, now it takes 35 :annoyed:

I put 2 news ones in it last year, (it has 2) pretty sure it's the stepper motor in the cluster. They are known for them going out.

Thanks for the link, I found a company in S.C. that has next day service. Not that I need next day now that I got the Honda

My odometer doesn't work when it's cold either, I guess one of the soldered joints is broke. When it gets warm it comes back on. I'll take it out and send it off soon.

The speedometer in my Oldsmobile didn't like cold, either. I could be driving along at 25 on my way to school and it would quickly jump back and forth between zero and 65. I figured if I wasn't passing anyone, I was fine.

Those Gas fired Turbines would need a major refit from Burning Coal a very major project at least a year or longer going by the one I worked on.

Maybe they just built another plant beside the coal fired one to take advantage of the distribution network.

Here we have a Gas fired plant beside the Nuclear power station to do just that.

The Gas fired turbines are impressive from Cold to producing Power in a Hour.

I'll take a crack at that first one.

    Edit:

I'll give the second one a shot, too.

Chev, 1954 or very early 1955. The last year of the post war Advance Design trucks had some changes - the new grille, a one piece curved windshield, two new six cylinder engines (235 & 261 cubic inch) and for the first time ever in a GM truck Hydramatic transmission was an available option.

1940 Chev, the chrome around the side windows mark it as a Special De Luxe Sport Sedan instead of the plainer Master 85 Sport Sedan.

Regardless of model the Chevs only came with one engine/transmission - the 216 cubic inch (3.5L for the :canada:) six cylinder with a 6.5 to 1 compression ratio producing 85 HP coupled to a three speed on the wheel manual transmission.
