I cant seem to find the bolt that goes thru the bottom bushing of my shock absorber. Any body know where i should look for this part? the truck is an 01. Last time i changed the shock i didnt tighten it enough and it rattled out.

grade 8 bolt from the hardware store with a nylock nut should work fine

no matter what nut you get, use locktite. and it should be a 5/8th's course thread bolt.

I dont know what size it is, but its definitely a metric bolt so it cant be 5/8ths.

doesnt matter since its a through bolt. as long as its close... as in there is no play in the mount

    oh ok...

go to a small hardware store, not like homo depot or lowes.

try an ace hardware, they usually carry more unique threads like metric fine thread

Since it's missing, just take the top one off and to the hardware store.
