I've found that small business has disappeared because people would go to a small business to look at something or try it on then go to a big box store like wmart to save a few bucks. Same is happening with malls and Amazon. Too bad because we all lose in the end and the only ones getting rich are a few people like Bezos.

Getting to the driver side ones either means using a 24-in socket extension (with a recommended magnetic spark-plug-socket instead of rubber-holding-socket) or remove part of the engine to make access easier.

 

Amazon built a distribution warehouse between me and my employer with no option of routing around it without adding significant miles to the commute and it's at a bad intersection. Morning accidents at the intersection have climbed significantly. I'm beginning to hate Amazon because the location flubbed upped an otherwise enjoyable drive to work. Also, shame on the city for approving such a bad location... The holiday temps they've hired is only making it worse.

I would suggest checking your O2 sensor connections. Maybe they only need a cleaning.

 

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that, we have been through quite a few prototypes and sub prototypes to get here so that means a lot. The flatbed itself is just as easy to remove as the bed, disconnect the quick disconnects from the tail lights, remove the fuel filler neck holder and disconnect the 6 bed mount bolts and you are home free as long as you have some friends to help you out.

I have not played around with jacks similar to what you would see on a traditional camper but I know this is also an option for taking it off solo although you would have to lift it up higher to clear a portion of the frame.

If you have fender flares and mudlfaps on there, of course it would be preferential to remove those first and that is a pretty easy task to do with the channels and post insert channel nuts.

As for installation, once the bed is off you can assemble the main frame off of the truck, attach the two main frame support rails to the OEM bed bolt locations with our brackets and set that frame right on top of those supports. We find that to be the easiest way and at that point the frame is so light you can easily do this with 2 people. From there, you can attach the main mounting rails to the frame and continue to build out the deck by ripping down 1" decking material and adding in t-slot channels horizontally for mounting purposes. The rack(s) are most easily built once the flatbed is set on the truck.

The whole thing can be built in a day no problem with 2 people. I think the first one we did with this concept we started at 3pm because we were waiting on a delivery and were done by 9 pm. If you build the frame of the tray on the ground and have people around to help you lift the bed off and the frame on, you could finish this thing up solo in a day or two in your garage depending on pace.

 

Try some Lucas deep clean fuel system cleaner. Seems to work much better than Techron.

 

Check the ignition coil packs. You usually get a rough running engine when they go bad.

 

Details on your front logo/emblem. Does it replace the Toyota logo, or just cover it? First snow here, and a thin coating disables the radar. TIA
