My dad got me an electric generator for Christmas last year, so thanks to my dad, I will be utilizing conventional plug-in light sets for the first time since 2012!

 

@Stitchgirl90 had two old light sets that she has no use for, so they're going to become a part of my light show!

 

I am currently conducting tests to see how long the generator lasts under various power loads from Christmas lights...

 

How long did it take to use 6%?

 

You ever considered a jump box? The portable self-contained type?
I just got one.

 

Probably 10 or 15 minutes...

 

What model is it?

It’s hard to guess the run time.
We'd need to know the total wattage being used by the lights.
I am curious to see your results.

I scored a late 1980s General Electric double oven range today. It still works great design, but it's a very outdated design and the guy who gave it to me accidentally stopped it in the driveway; I will be scrapping it tomorrow...

 

The lower oven is self-cleaning and the upper oven is not, and there is no convection function, but everything was working when the homeowners replaced it...

 

Both ovens are very clean though!

 

I have no idea what's in an electric range coil...

 

Just scored a General Electric range and dishwasher from 1978!

 

The door should be worth some money...

 

Here's the story behind these appliances. A young couple bought an old 3-bedroom townhouse from the estate of a deceased older woman. The house was not totally disgusting, but it was very outdated and the woman was a chain smoker, so it was gut job. The stove and dishwasher are believed to be operational, and I will see tomorrow if the stove turns on, but I have no means to test the dishwasher and don't feel like trying to sell either. Here's the dishwasher...
