Were you addicted/having withdrawals? it's a vicious cycle once you're in too deep

Speaking of wheels and tires, I saw a guy with a KTM 890 Adventure with a 17” street wheel and tire setup and it’s now my dream bike haha.

Hm I'd need to see that in person lol. seems like it'd look top heavy, but would probably be a hoot to ride

just a couple of things tbh
body issues... i was drinking a lot of caffinee in general and a lot of sugar to the point i made certain things work overtime and i was living on gas-x, pain meds, and antacids for months... my body was doing awful and started making my mental go to shit and suffer panic attacks thinking things were wrong like very wrong... so i cut it all out i lost a good chunk of weight (200lbs down to 170 trying to hit 165) no more panic attacks no more other issues and all that fun stuff. i know i permanently damaged my gallbladder and it should tbh be removed but ive been kinda lazy about it...

I thought it looked weird till it hit me what the owner had done. He said he tracked it too and it did really well. Those KTMs have the dual gas tank that sit super low so they probably handle really well.

Oof yeah that's no good putting your body through that nonstop. glad to hear you've been improving though! IDK enough about the gall bladder to say what you should do but maybe make sure everything's copacetic lol

ah yeah that definitely sounds like a blast haha. something tells me that guy probably knows how to ride the hell out of it.

meh as some who owns a high cc bike, they aren't necessary at all lol. Everything I do on my BMW I could do on a 400 except for what happens on certain open stretches of freeway which will not be specified :stirthepot: Still brings a shit-eating grin to my face every time I ride it though so that's worth it to me.

nothing wrong with adding another though hehe. need one for every type of riding obviously

yuuup i finally figured i should see a doctor after having a panic attack last so long that when i calmed down i collapsed on the floor scared the shit out of my mom on the phone haha my bad! tbh idk either i still get pain from it when i eat certain things and such so im not fully sure... i should go back to the doc again but havent lol

thats kinda my thing as well sure it can be loads of fun but i know what ill do with it and a few friends of mine have already said no i shouldnt get something like that haha so ill prob stay with smaller cc bikes and just have fun with that and boost my civic coupe lmao

To be honest I’ve gotten bored of all the fast bikes I’ve owned since I can’t open them up that often, and combined with expensive insurance, maintenance and poor gas mileage I just hop back on to low CC bikes every time.

Plus I’d much rather hustle my KTM through twisty roads over just going fast on the highway.

Go see that doctor! I just know you're like me who doesn't see the doctor unless I'm on death's door but sounds like they could at least help you figure out a diet to minimize/eliminate the pain lol.

As far as the big cc's...they definitely require a responsible wrist...most of the time at least

I wouldn't say I'm bored, but I definitely get what you mean. I'm always a bit taken by surprise when I really open it up even briefly because I rarely get to experience it and generally I'm not wringing it out despite my previous message lol.

But yeah, the insurance isn't great. Another part of why I want the smaller displacement bike to remain street legal for now, as it should discount my total policy from where it is now. my YZ250f already knocked a whopping $2.50 off when i added it on lol.

And as you say, I've never really gotten a chance to experience riding the hell out of a low cc bike. Feel like that's an experience I need and would benefit from. The BMW does well, but you can tell it's bored lol.

I recently followed a young couple on ADVRider.com who rode a CT125 2-up from Oklahoma up to Alaska and beyond camping most of the way. This is after the young man had already toured the lower 48 states with 2 other riders on CT125s. That could interest me.

I actually looked at a Yamaha Majesty 400 scooter back in March and in retrospect wish I'd bought it. Enough HP to get on the highway and according to a coworker who rides one about 60-70 mpg with carrying capacity

Have to admit, that'd be fun to rip around on

Knowing how much power the grom motor DOESNT put out.... even with something built like my 164cc... pushing those chunky tires and bigger bike around would be such a SLOW dog.

EDIT, for the size of the CT125 you can get a watercooled 300cc moto for likely the same price that would be way better off.

That stated, the new CT125 is a neat bike.

Meh, I have a fast bike, I don't think I'd hurt myself as badly on a little scooter like that up in the mtns

Having a couple of those for some around camp scooters could be fun, but I think I'd rather have the XR150 they just put out. It's also a grand less on the MSRP than the Trail125.
