See if you can find someone with the KTM powersports seat that might let you at least sit on it. With Laam or Russell they are true custom seat builders. You ship them your stock seat and they build a new seat on an OEM pan made to fit you. There's a form you fill out giving your weight in riding gear, your inseam length, height, and some more stuff like that. I will tell you it's the best mod made to my FJR and made doing Iron Butt rides a lot more comfortable. Go to Laam's website and look at pictures of seats he's done. He's good.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Indeed. That’s how we roll!

I was just talking with a newer dirt rider about this. Which is why we put slower riders up front for a good bit of the day. Trying to keep pace with someone might be the worst thing you can do for your rider skills.
Keeping focused and slowly increasing your pace or decreasing your pace is that way my friends.
Actually going to the track on a slow day and just carving the turns is super fun. My buddies and I used to go out to the track and just roll. No needing to hammer down.
Just stay in the slow lane ;)

Ummmm that 450SM. That’s what I am after. Hells yeah, glad your diggin that 701…they are sweet machines. The seat is a little wonky, sometimes it’s hard to figure out where you need to be lol.

Those are both slicks, that's a straight up race bike. You'd blow it up on the street

Thanks Zac! That last pic is a new FS 450 I saw at the KTM shop. It comes with Metzler Racetec slicks since it’s a race bike not street legal. You should get a street setup for the YZ and hit the track!

Yeah would be nice to try one out first. I'll probably give Laam a call too and get some more info on their options.

That 450 looks legit... so much eye candy in that shop. Solid Performance only sells/services KTM, Husky, and Gas Gas. They also have a custom WP suspension shop next door and guy told me they work on the Redbull KTM factory flat track bikes

How you liking that new 500?

I have been off for a few days, so didn't go back and see if this has been posted.

Thoughts on the CFMOTO MT450? I know folks don't trust the Chinese brands, but some of their stuff is also made in Thailand(a lot of Hondas are also made there). I want to say I have read where the plan to open a plant in the US(one is already in Mexico)

Still can't wait to see how the Kove 450 plays out. Absolutely love how that bike looks and the early numbers. Just waiting to see reliability and how easy parts are to come by.

From what I understand, CFMoto is manufacturing KTM's 790 line at their factory in China. Food for thought.

That's the thing. China makes the smaller BMW GS motors. They also have production lines in Thailand(my CRF was made there). I definitely don't want to be a guinea pig, but they have the possibility to be a very good brand.

China can make some good stuff. I suppose it boils down to the QC the parent company requires. I hope it does well and is reliable. I think it'd be a great little ADV. The motor it's getting has 50HP in the 450 sportbike version.

That 390 has been proven to be pretty reliable though right?
