Bent frame. It was deemed fixable but no frame availability and a new frame was a year away. It is now wrote off…

That will likely drive again, just not with you or with a clean title

That sucks. It's always better to hit those stupid ditch donkeys, rather than swerving to avoid them, especially in a truck where the chances of it coming through the windshield are much lower than in a car. I'll be getting a full steel front bumper in the future, mostly for wheeling, but also for deer. I've hit three in my life in northern WI, two did no damage because I hit them at a near stop under heavy braking, the most recent one I didn't even touch the brakes because it climbed out of the ditch late at night and I didn't see it until it was too late. Still only broke everything plastic in the front end, wasn't too bad to fix.

Hope you learned your lesson. Steel bumper and don't try to dodge it next time.

Sorry about Hilda OP. Yeah, hit the critter next time. At least you gain a freezer full of venison. I knew a guy that totaled his car trying to dodge a fucking squirrel.

Damn that sucks! You got 42g? It could be worse... I live in deer country, it's only a matter of time before I hit one.

Man. I hate those things. I’ve hit three. One straight on at 70, the other two I scrubbed a good 30 mph before impact.
