Good find!! Adding to my Amazon cart now. Much better than ripping a bundle of tape off the bits or hoping it doesn't still go through.

I haven't done a lot of loads in the bed... yet. Wondering why these are purchased? Does the side of the bed flex? Perhaps just a newbie question.

As a test I didn't fully charge my phone last night so I could see how much charging I could get done on the way to work. I removed the thin silicone case (because this charger REALLY sucks), turned off the phone (to boost charging speed even more), and put it on the charger for the full 45 minute drive to work. IT WENT UP 2%. Are you freaking kidding me Toyota? I'm going to eventually yank mine out as well. That's completely worthless.

Toyota's technology team is nothing more than a moronic shit show. For example, when using my mobile phone through bluetooth, I get random contact pictures for the person I'm talking to (never the correct one though). The radio has rebooted twice on me now and can't handle thumb drives at all.

One day my phone displayed it would not charge as it “detected moisture”. So I left it in the hot truck, didn’t work. Down very low on my battery I used the qi charger. It maintained what I used as I drove along. And then it slid off the “magic spot” I haven’t used it since. I think my big dilemma would be finding another electronic device to replace the switch after I pull that thing.

The shop here went to do their preventative maintenance on one of our tractors. They refused to touch it until it was cleaned out. The guy who drove that tractor ended up removing three garbage bags of trash from inside that thing. What a mess.

I believe it's like this with most vehicle manufacturers. I had a Hyundai that did similar things when connected to Bluetooth... Eventually it didn't work at all.... I also believe part of it is your device.......mat the time I had major issues my phone was pretty old.

My wife's 2023 Mitsubishi isn't much better it's slow, sluggish, and somewhat unreliable...again..... I have a feeling my device has something to do with the way some of this tech operates.

Android Auto/Apple car play are at least a standard platform.... That's a start

I think part of the problem is the camera bump on the bottom of most flagship phones now. That angle the bump sits the phone at on a flat charger is a big problem. If the charger stuck up a little it would be helpful but I don't think the camera bump was as prominent when these were chosen ten years ago! All mine does now is manage to heat my phone rapidly

I suspect it's because of a faulty design of the charger. All of my phones have had camera humps but have been using wireless charging since 2012. I've used cheap chargers and expensive chargers and they all work fine with my phones... with a case on. I run a plugin on my phone that tells you at what rate the phone is charging (mA draw) and I'll have to do some in depth comparisons between wireless chargers so we can get an estimate how bad (or good) it is in comparison. I have some flat back phones as well as phones with the lens hump I can test with. I'll start it's own thread.
