It's more brand visibility than anything else. That's a KTM in a CF Moto outfit, but it still goes to show that they're trying to legitimize themselves as a brand with KTM's support.

 

Those chinese brands are neat. CSC / Lifan comes to mind, those are higher quality chinese bikes. Lifan is and has been one of the worlds top motor producers (if not the top) for a LONG time. I put 10k miles on a Lifan 110cc horizontal honda clone motor before my dumbass let a loose chain bunch up and crack the case/chew up the trans etc.

I have contemplated on getting a CB300R sized chinese bike. There is one of these https://www.americanlifan.com/motorcycle/kpm-200/ for sale locally with under 100 miles for 2100$. Air cooled fuel injected, 75mph top speed, 102mpg.... hmmmm


NOW. would I buy a off road ADV longer distance bike that you NEED to work and have parts availability for.... thats up for debate.

Buddies f150 is on his second 10 speed under 70k miles.....

 

They had a lot of issues at first but I think they’ve mostly been ironed out by now.

It sucks for the beginning users, but if a company is willing to "fix" the problems.......not a problem in my book as I don't usually go for "new" bikes anyway.

I know it's strange for me to say that after owning the first year of the CRF300....but it's basically the same motor as the 250's and those had been out a good bit...........least that's what I tell myself

No, the CF Moto Moto3 bike is quite literally a rebadged KTM Moto3 bike. Same with the GASGAS bikes in the premier class.

KTM is manufacturing the 790 adventure in CF Moto's factory with direct oversight from KTM.

 

Saw a new transalp in the wild today while I was driving. Didn't get to stop or get a closer look at it but it seemed smaller than I expected it to be. Also really liked the 4 lamp headlight, looked good in the mirror.
