Hi guys first post . New here , had lots of Toyota but just bought a Tacoma .

For cheap with a brand new frame . Love the space compare to 1st Gen .

my question after looking everywhere, those forum a not what it was back then . I really like my Tacoma , but man I like those first Gen front grill and wave on the rear 1/4 panel .

Is there a retro fit or something, saw lots of new front clip and fender from 3gen on 2nd but nothing from an older one .

so basically fender or front clip from 1996-2004 to a 2005-2011 .

    thnx

edit- not looking for a complete conversion , just looking for pic for reference. Like fender weld together to keep the 2nd Gen look . stretch front grill . I think new Tacoma got 3-4 inch wider

The 1st gen Tundra's got more of that look. You could look into see if those part will retro fit the 2nd Gen thou I doubt many will.

You might be stuck with the 2.0 gen look. There's just so many more designed items that look like the 2.5 gen Tacoma's "futuristic" styling. I think even the new 4th Tacoma gives a significant nod the the 2.5 gen front end.

Good luck and post some pictures!

I love the styling of the 1st gens. The 2nd gens are probably better mechanically, but the 1st gen with the 3.4 liter was/is a really good truck in my opinion.

No idea how you'd pull this off, or if the grille/light scale is correct. But looks cool to me
