If anyone is interested, I have the bam beds sleeping platform system for sale over in the buy sell trade section of this forum. It was a great setup for me, but I'm selling the truck.

    cabinets are done!

while they do look awesome and are damn near indestructible now, I do not recommend all the work it took to laminate them

up next is interior rgb lighting tomorrow and solar panels and controller get here on Monday

I originally built this camp/sleep box set up years ago for my 1st Gen Access cab and it worked great. Fast forward to now, and with just a little modification they fit perfectly in my 2nd gen DCLB. So this weekend I refinished, carpeted, made a few updates, and installed in the 2nd Gen. I also ran a hose from the Waterport tank to the rear. Overall stoked with how it came out, and have a few more ideas in the pot to really maximize usage.

I love this style, been wanting to change my simple platform to something like this... how do you have the boxes mounted in the bed? Looks good!

I'll have to get a picture for you. But it's a simple solution. Just a turnbuckle with eyeball and hook for the front, and a bolt through the bed tie down in the back. You could probably use the turnbuckle solution for both mount points though.

Here's my setup that I designed. Definitely would be more refined on my next iteration. I'm overall happy with it! Its a BIGOL drawer.

This is my build. A simple drawer on drivers side and a sliding shelf (on caster rollers) on the right for my dometic fridge, and goal zero battery. There's enough room at the front for my gas can.

This is my build, 2 full length drawers on heavy duty slides. The kitchen has a 2 burner stove and gas grill. The other drawer is for storage. The spaces over wheel wells have top access hatches. One side has a water jug for washing hands/dishes and storage the other is for holding fishing rods/storage. Currently working on the electrical system for interior lighting, fan and usb charging. As well as rear bug screen and window covers.20231024_192729.jpg 20231024_100706.jpg 20231018_175744.jpg

Are the boxes secured to the bed in some way or does the center panel just keep everything locked in place?

Each corner is tied down to bed d rings with turn buckles. The sides are sitting on 20231016_183502.jpg wheel wells and bolted to center box.

Nice, I think the only thing I’d do differently is sew magnets into the hem and hang them inside the cap but outside the bed. I have some tall air cylinders I need to install.

It's hard to tell from the photo but their are magnets in the hem. Also, since it's a 6ft bed I didn't see the need to extend it to the end of the tail gate. Mark.

I meant on the sides so it would shed water outside the bed walls. You have them inside the bed. Looks really nice though.

Loving this approach more and more in terms of simplicity and flexibility.

Will definitely make myself a set of boards once I find a cap for the back of my truck.
