Also my experience with the Qi charger. I’ve put my iPhone 12 on it (case on so it doesn’t slide, screen off) for longish trips using Car Play - listening to Pandora, using maps, Waze, occasional calls and such. It seems to basically maintain whatever level of charge I started with, but doesn’t lose any. Doesn’t get overly hot. Maybe I have a good one?

Wife plugs her phone into the outlet in the console for a quick charge if needed.

Otherwise I use that space for a little storage. Do you gain a lot more space by removing it?

Nice looking truck. I put Falken Wildpeaks on mine about 4 months ago and have been very pleased so far. We'll see how they do this winter.

Some low key additions to the bed. Bay Area Metal Fab panels, mounted a fire extinguisher, and traction boards.

I know OTT has recently changed their tunes to have a less aggressive tip-in. I've got both here and can tell quite a bit of difference between them. The truck using medium/spicy is far less jumpy in parking lots, slower speed areas, etc. It will definitely help in rainy or icy weather. You can also tell quite a bit of a change in how far you need to push the pedal to get the truck to downshift one and then two gears when you want it to while driving down the road. I am guessing you got the one with the lighter tip-in. Medium/spicy still has it's pep to it, you just need to give it a little extra pedal now. That, I think, is a nice change. I don't need the truck to take off like a little rocket with just the slightest touch of the pedal. I'd rather have more control. You are also not being forced to have the truck at 2,000 rpm at speeds that are common speed limits like the tune you used to have. A much better thought out and put together tune.

Thanks for this as I didn't know they updated it. I love everything except how quick the throttle grabs and jerks from standstill or very low speed. Looks like I need an update.

I think you will be very happy with it. One thing Justin said is that with the new tip-in, you may want to go up a setting from the one you are currently using, so keep that in mind.

I wasn't aware that the wireless charger was even an option (owning a base model). What a shame it doesn't operate very good. What an annoyance that so many folks have this bubble issue. Some technology just shouldn't be implemented in a vehicle I guess.

It seems to me that technology such as this winds up being outdated and useless within 10 years. I'd imagine that even the USB charging port in my truck will be obsolete sometime in the near future.

I think I've used mine once since buying the truck in 2020 and it's been off ever since. It's so bubbled up that a phone can't even lay flat if I did need to use it.

Interesting. My wife’s 2019 Sport has the Qi charger and we’re quite happy with it. No bubbles, and it charges her iPhone fine.

Sounds like there may be some duds that got distributed; has Toyota ever done a recall?

Mine works fine if I take my phone out of the case. It's easier to just plug it in. So for me it is a pointless feature. Note: I wirelessly charge my phone all the time with the case on at home using a mid-priced wireless charger from Costco. Then I bought a more expensive and more powerful one from Belkin and it doesn't charge but would do a nice job of keeping your coffee hot. And I think Belkin is a quality brand. <shrug>
