My dad had a Vega station wagon growing up like this only his was uglier.




It had 2 seats in the front and that was it. My brother and I would climb in the back and go wherever.

I remember my uncle driving it to the store one day and he didn't know it but it had just been robbed, cops pulled up and questioned him about it. He had long hair and was driving a car that had knives, shotgun shells, and camo clothing cause dad drove it to go hunting and had just gotten home

I hope so, we need rain bad. Is it dry there too?

I hadn’t thought to post it here until I saw Shane’s awesome pics.

I took it for my bud who now lives in L.A. It’s a yearly first snow pic to remind him of the unmanly life he’s now living

 

I wish it would rain or snow. Anything to get some moisture. We are listed in a severe drought for the 3rd or 4th year in a row now

 

I want to plow a place for a garden next year, need to plow now but the ground is too hard.

 

Good morning shop crew

Really dry down here, been about a month since it rained. Our overall drought level is really high. The overflow pipe in my neighbors pond is about 12-18” above water level. We do have rain in the forecast for the weekend but I don’t know how much we will get.

 

I got to help with some restoration projects yesterday at the local university archaeology lab. A bit different of a “shop project”.

Cool! What do they use to glue pieces together

 

It’s a type of super glue, the tube didn’t have a brand label on it. The glue doesn’t set immediately, you have about 30 seconds to work the pieces before it hardens, also no expansion of the glue.

 

We have had enough rain here all season that the ground is soft and squishy under foot or wheel in many places.

 

Of all the magnificent things man builds of wood, steel, concrete and even plastic in the end only his dishes remain - makes one think.
