My 06 Tacoma with almost 186,000 miles

    06 Tacoma Pre-Runner 2wd Quad Cab short bed
    Fiberglass shell
    My 06 just continues to plug along. I swear the engine is running even stronger now than recently! I change the oil every 5,000 miles and don't abuse it. Plan is to keep it another 6 months or so and sell. I'm eyeballing the 4Runner, I understand the 2024 will be the last year for the V6 4.0. At my current age of 70, a new 2024 4Runner should take me to the far end
    of my driving days? That's a hell of a thought!

    I would say the 4Runner would be a fine choice.
    The 4.0 has proven to be a good engine.
    And the 24' will have all the improvement that were made over the years.
    Unless you need more power or better fuel economy, it would be hard to beat the 4Runner.
