Distorted memory. It doesn't click. :smack:Stupid me was not pressing THAT, and I just assume that was it when I took the picture. I was pressing the spring loaded switch under the clutch pedal.

Thanks for the update. You had a few of us looking for the guys in white coats to come take you away. Hehehe. We all make mistakes. Not everyone can own it. You did.

Now if you start asking about best oil to use, OCI’s and all that, well, we may not be so forgiving…

This was one of the more round-about and creative ways I've seen to brag about driving a manual :fistbump:

That’s the high beams foot switch. Simply press it with your foot to engage / disengage the high beams.

You can hit that button with your toe (really hard to do with a shoe on) and start the engine without using the clutch. I do this quite often, esp as I drive barefoot most all the time.

Will bigger tires fit with the button extended, or do you need to wire it depressed??

Remember, *I* asked where the display dimmer sensor was, so . . .

That's the button that signals to the EZ-Pass toll transceivers and sensors in the road, how many axles you have on the vehicle. Pushing it defaults the ECU and it i.d.'s your Tacoma as an 18-wheeler with a tandem trailer in the back. (another 8 wheels) Seven total axles plus whatever the dolly has. It also signals to the automated scale crew in the weigh station turn-off that you are thousands of pounds overweight and launches the spike strips if you don't pull in.

The toll charge totals on your next statement with be in the multi-thousands.
I say go for it: push the button. Nothing will happen...:pccoffee:

    Long story short.
Got my truck broke in 2 weeks ago. Failed theft attempt.
You guys highly recommended to install a kill switch.

Since and as I you already figured, I don't know sh!t about mechanic. I decided to pay to get one installed.
Guy said about $500, oh you mean you want 2 swithes... That's $650 cash, but if you want to be able to have proof for insurance, you'll need to pay taxes... So almost $800 to get that thing installed. While I was scanning under the dash with my hand to get a feel of his wiring prowess, I came across that stupid mysterious button (switch)...

All things considered. I could have for only few bucks, just put an ON-OFF switch on the clutch switch itself and most thieves would never even thing of pressing the clutch bypass start button to circumvent my poor man kill switch. Sigh...
