UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

You can still find a place in the Salt Lake Valley whether it's renting an apartment or a room or buying a house. The commute up and down Parleys Canyon can be rough during rush hour traffic in the winter. Best advice would be leave early, check the road conditions, good tires and drive the speed that is safe for the conditions.

i read your post again since i'm more awake now. there are golf balls that have sensors in them mostly at golf shops that do fittings for clubs. also top golf is an outdoor range that uses that tech. the course closed this year in early october and i will be one of the managers the work year round. there are things to do to prep the course and equipment for the winter. plus we also do snow removel as well.

Any of you guys with 3rd gens, or I guess any vehicle had a shop around the SLC area replace a rear main seal?

Had my skid plate off trying to track down a different front end issue and noticed what appears to be a leak there at the rear main...uhg.

I'll probably just monitor it for now as it has to be very recent...but just planning ahead to get that fixed.

 

oh man. that sounds fun. while you're at it, since you're dropping the trans, look into the coolant bypass pipe. plastic coolant crossover pipe between the heads behind the engine that tends to form a leak. fixing it requires dropping the trans so, worth a look while you're there.

 

Odds are I won't be doing the repair myself, I don't have the know-how or tools lol.

But I'll pass that info along if/when I do take it somewhere to get fixed. If it could all be done at the same time, that would be nice.

 

Wassup all you beehive graphics on freeway sign having Utonians? Went to St George las week and Vegas to have a meeting then took the wife through Zion stopping in Hurricane to get a hoodie and a tshirt from Winder Towing / MORR. Crew was out on a recovery but duder gave us a tour and I got to see all the hardware except the banana in the lot. Crazy how the GoPros change the perspective/distort or change the perception of size and distance. Made it out last Wednesday before the storm. Good trip. Crazy police presence on I-15 just south of Provo. Happy I had the cruise set to 4 over.

not much different than the shape of the state being on the sign. :shrug:

haha. yeah, police get crazy south of provo but if you're 5 over, they won't come after you. at least, not in my experience. besides, 80mph is scary fast enough as it is and hard to maintain a good mpg so i stick to 80 on those sections.
