Rustproofing experts.. living in Northern VA, is this recommended in this region or not? We do get snow but nothing like the upper Midwest and NE. There is a Krown place a couple hours north in York, PA… really considering it but wondering if it’s worth it in this region. Thanks for any suggestions. I plan on keeping this truck many years and I do the underside wash regularly at a DIY car wash with spray nozzle.

If you are washing the underside of your truck yourself, there is no reason you can't apply the FF yourself.

They make it in an aerosol can. It's a bit more expensive buying it that way, but still way cheaper than paying someone to apply the FF.

As for your 1st question, yes, it is worth it.

If they do a good job that is not a bad price. If you have the extra money .

One never knows till the job is finished

I used to live in Reston so I feel your pain. Fluid film worked great for me. When you spray it on, you'll likely get a little spatter on the exhaust. It'll stink for a few days but it goes away.
