Uses google, Facebook, Reddit, iPhone, Alexa, and all of the other junk out there today that spies 100% of the time.

Take out enough and the IRS is notified. And I'm not talking about 50k or so. The cash with drawl reporting number has been drastically reduced.

But I'm so glad that I own and drive a prehistoric 1st gen tacoma. No spying software or electronics in this Truck.

Toyota does give you a driver score which eventually could be used by insurance companies to determine your rates.

You guys are raising my blood pressure. It is pretty odd my tacoma knows where it's parked at and I don't have the tech package with GPS. What I want to know is if after my free 1 year trial period is up if my truck gets stolen, will I be able to somehow get Toyota to tell me where my truck is if I'm not paying for the service.

All this BS about freedom and privacy.
In free countries, you can sleep in your GF bedroom while her parents are home (and not get shot), you can drink a beer in a glass container walking down the street, go to the pub at 18, and are able to purchase about twice the number of vehicle models than those allowed in the us - for example.

I notice that those most concerned about their privacy are often the ones posting all their lives' boring details on FB and instagram?

 

Wife spys on me more than Toyota does.

 

I took 3 grand out of the bank to buy a dirt bike once and the teller acted like I was a criminal or something. Lots of places don't even take cash anymore and we're so reliant on the internet you pretty much gotta use a card for a lot of stuff.

As an aside now that I’m thinking about money and technology, I don't know how truly poor or even moderately poor people get by these days. You need a smart phone to do so many basic things which are expensive, as are the plans. Plus pan handling for change (if people even have any) or collecting cans really doesn't stack up like it used to.
