I feel you on that. The 1000cc bikes are meant for the long haul. Even people at the track that are getting it, usually prefer to ride the smaller displacement bikes…just more usable power.

Lol, yeah radiators were an after thought on design for many bikes of this generation that were naked.

 

So not a huge hotwheel collector but I like certain ones and I saw they had a treasure hunt that was a Ducati and I found one! Thought you all might think it’s cool to see a bike hotwheel

 

I got nothing going on tomorrow. It’s gonna rain which we need bad. Think I am gonna make a trip to the local dealership.

A near by Indian dealership has a used ADV 1290r for sale. It’s a bout a year old with 13k miles. Asking price is $13.8k

I would really like to hold out for another year, but you know how the winter goes..you can find some deals on people letting them go for cheaper!

 

In the other direction is a Husky dealer, who most likely has a 450sm for sale.

In TN about 72 miles from me a guy has a brand new RC390 for sale at $4.9k

Man I want one of these so bad! My gut feeling and research tells me it'd be pretty close to perfect for what I want and my use case.

 

Another gixxer fan here...mine was a 2001 600. It was my first street bike which wasn't a great choice, but at least it was cheap and already beat up. Riding on the track was so much fun I need to get back there next year

I went looking at used ones yesterday(as I do most time when this thread mentions a certain bike). The cheapest within 400 miles was a 2004 with 30K miles for $4500. That's insane when I remember paying 4K for a 2yr old one. I know times are different, but I just can't get past it

 

Agreed some of these used prices are ridiculous, I always wonder what they end up selling for. People know what they got lol

Before I said screw it and bought a new 701 I was looking for a used DRZ-400SM and it was hard to find a used one under $6k, and many of them were older too doesn't make any sense

 

I saw a guy yesterday trying(well, asking) to get 10K for a XR650.

 

He's trying to get the dealer fees back and all. Based on the emojis I can guess the comments haha

 

He had it posted in 2 different groups. The comments alone were worth it
Somebody told him he was as high as giraffe balls...which then had someone say giraffe pussy b/c they are usually higher

 

at that price, its the dealer fees + the sales tax lol

 

I found a localish(3hr drive) Honda dealer with no markup. I have 3 others with in 45 minutes and they all have huge markups. I will not give them any of my business for even small stuff.

 

I love a good DRZ, but it ain’t no 701
