What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

New here, starting my very long journey of mods lol. First one was changing out the headrest to a scion tc headrest, because I like my neck, but today I installed a FitcamX dual set up I bought courtesy of @ChrisIz Works great and all wires hidden!

 

Check your firmware on your camera. The version should end in 1112. If it is an older version, the auto rewrite of older videos won't work and it will stop recording when the card gets full. Mine ended in 0315, and that is what happened to me. There isn't any warning when it happens either. I just happened to log into it to check out a video on it and saw it hadn't recorded anything in a little over two months.

 

I was just looking at those wheels, I will probably get the same

 

This is interesting 2019 sr 5 with a eBay extra wheel ,a eBay tpms sensor and a same tire spare. ( I bought 5 tires)
1st rotation with incorporating the spare and no tire pressure light!! I was truly expecting it.

I have not had any problems with mine since the truck was new almost 8 years ago. I have updated the Nav micro SD card almost every year since they have been doing so much building and road construction here in Florida. I took a picture of one of my old cards but was not able to take a picture of my truck since it is at the dealer for a different reason. It goes into a slot on the lower right hand corner of the head unit and it is very simple to change out. @McHale you may consider down grading your micro sd card to see if that helps with some of your problems. They have them chaeper on eBay but I am not sure of their quality. I bought mine from gpsupdatestore.com . Sorry for the blurry picture of the sd card but I couldn't get it to focus at such a short distance.

The second picture was taken today at a Bucee’s gas station and I thought it was appropriate for our tacos. It is an air freshener.

 

The mSD card seller won't ship to Canada. I have had 1 update replacement about 2 years ago by having a fellow TW member ship to me.

 

The newer nav units don't have a microSD card. And the SD only contains map data. The radio OS is what is trash. The map data is fine.

 

Have to change the axle fluids. And grease what I can.

 

I went to the local Toyota dealership the other day (Hendrick Apex NC) to pick up some OEM parts I had ordered online (free shipping) and this dealership has 2 waiting rooms for customers having vehicles serviced. No lie, there must have been over 50 people waiting for service. People were spilling outside to find places to sit or work with laptops. I'm not criticizing or being judgmental but what were that many people having done to their cars? I asked the parts counter guy and he just sort of laughed and gave me this 'don't ask me' look.

It’s a battery hold down issue. Not affecting the trucks.

 

Just chiming in-The 2020 and up HU with built in NAV has micro SD card. Such as - 86140-04200 HU. It’s behind a small 2” metal plate with two screws of the NAV module which is the bottom part. It’s only visible on the opposite side of the wiring harnesses. So you have to remove it from the brackets.

I decided on the mild/spicy and it is great! Spicy came in handy right after the tune when I was getting on the highway. What a huge difference it made and it is so, much more fun to drive now. Glad I decided to get early on my 23 and not wait.
