What's the craziest/most interesting/unique item you've ever hauled or towed with your Taco?

Round two!

 

Back when I worked at a park district we got to take home any flowers we didn't use that year to use at our own home. Well I filled my truck bed, rear floor, rear seats, front passenger floor and front passenger seat with nothing but that's of flowers. Probably close to 200 flowers in total! No pics though

I took down a bunch of signs (the topic of which cannot be publicly discussed on TW) in Doylestown down tonight, as a favor to a friend, and in exchange I get to scrap the metal stakes for putting them in the ground. In addition, I found an aluminum storm door on the side of road with someone's trash about a mile from my house! The signs are the pointy things you see sticking out of the bed, and the mustard yellow 1970s kitchen appliances can also be seen in there...

 

I have an old fridge in the garage that is the same color.

 

Did you find a new job yet?

Feel like you’d be better off working for minimum wage at a big box store than burning gas hauling this junk around.

 

Not crazy, but it looked cool to haul...

The homeowners have an ad on Facebook, and lots of people have been showing up to take the stuff they're giving away. A young German immigrant woman who did not speak very good English showed up in a late model Toyota Corolla and wanted to take a futon and a sofa (I forgot to get a pic of the futon). She only lived a few miles away in Lansdale, but a Corolla isn't exactly built for hauling large pieces of furniture; I ended up getting paid $40 ($20) per trip to haul the stuff to her house)! One of the homeowners, a fellow 2nd Gen owner, can be seen here securing the couch...

 

After getting to the German lady's house...

 

Trip #1; I rented a UHAUL for the day so I can get all the stuff in one or two trips...

I determined that renting UHAUL for a few hours was cheaper than burning gas on multiple trips; I've made $430.02 this week, from DoorDash, scrapping, and helping the Germany lady move her furniture. The UHAUL cost like forty bucks...

 

I hope they are paying you to haul it off?
If the stuff in the bed is any indication of what you are getting, It seems you're getting their junk that the local dump wont take.
Doesn't look like it's worth the cost or effort to me?

I just don’t want to see people take advantage of you buddy.
I been there a few times. People making their stuff “my stuff”.
And it cost me money in the end.

 

I've also got a TV and a vintage fan that I'm selling, plus two spools of copper wire that I'm scrapping. My girlfriend got a lot of free shit, as did I, and the German woman who paid me forty bucks to haul furniture three miles; I am strongly considering buying a small used trailer that I can easily pull behind the truck so I can carry bigger loads to the scrapyard.
