Apparently it's a thing now for many young men to just give up on approaching young entitled women.
Also, the vast majority of divorces are initiated by the wife.
Why put yourself through that and lose half of everything you own?

It's a Risk/Benefit calculation and men, by and large, aren't stupid



That said, I'm grateful that Mrs Gritto and I are of an older generation.
She's made of sterner stuff than today's crybabies.

Exactly right. Even my last gf moved in for a bit and contributed nothing while insisting I go out of my way to make sure I put the toilet seat down all the time. I told her she was an adult and check to see if the seat was down before she sat. I also told here that the toilet seat arguement that women like to have is literally the stupidest fight a couple could have. ( New poll idea forming there ) She had 5 different jobs in 8 months because she had this flight of fancy about dream jobs even though they didn't pay well. I mean absolutely horrible. Just $16 and hour. You can barely afford to feed yourself on that in a big city.


At my age bracket it's actually not financially worthwhile to get married because of what I would lose on Social Security Benefits.
