    Any of you into VWs?

Just sold a bumper to a dude from Michigan with an 80 series. He had a deleted TDI wagon getting about 44 mpg and, I must admit, it was pretty sexy.

I was in a buddies '59 Beetle on my 16th birthday when he hit 2 (two) cows doing 70 mph in a 45 zone. Folded those fenders under the front wheels and he had no brakes or steering. Slid into the ditch. A cop was pacing him for a ticket and was on the scene pronto. Put down the cow on the spot and the bull was limped back to the barn. Farmer was pissed. There were 4 carloads of us so we had a ride home. Cop forgot about the ticket.
To answer your question, not a fan of VW's.

Helped a friend with front pads and rotors on an early 90's dodge minivan, this morning.
It was like working with Legos compared to the Tacoma.
    Everything was so light.
Could've tossed the rotor around like a frolfing Innova driver....the tire for the putter.

Unfortunately TW seems to have trouble with users trying to comment from out of country. I’m trying a free VPN for $8/week right now, damn is it ever slow though!

My 2015 tdi wagon would get 60+mpg if I drove nice. Looked into a delete, but the car was the WRONG car for Northen Wisconsin. Fun though.

My wife has had quite a few VWs. Her current ride is a boring but comfortable Tiguan. Previous to that she had a leased GLI. That was pretty fun to drive, and I wanted her to buy it after the lease, but she wanted the small SUV, like everyone else these days... I wanted to tune the GLI.

The old Audi A3 still sits in my driveway. I really have to give it some attention next spring. It's a blast to drive when it's right. I ain't going for MPGs with that car. More interested in going fast and scaring myself. I was hoping to put some time and money into it this summer, but all of my time and money went into a certain other vehicle of mine. :anonymous:

It’s kind of funny how huge all cars have gotten. I have a mental picture of what size those early 90s dodge minivans should be, but was surprised when I saw one the other day on the road. It seemed so small next to everything on the road, even modern sedans.

    I still have CD player.

Been messing with the USB drive method of having music in the trucks, but the largest software corporation on the planet can't figure out file transfer properly, so at least once a day, I'll have a song just cut out in the middle and it goes to the next one.

Really pisses me off. So I take weekly notes and at the end of the week, manually replace those songs that got skipped.

Why not just put truck lites in the rear frame, completely weather proof and in frame stops damage.

Trying to get money saved for that front locker is hard when I have a $1000 worth of Diode Dynamics lights sitting in the cart... Anyone know if they are/do/or have Black Friday sales???

Going to be cool though: side marker lights are back lit amber and red respectively but they are also wide-angle lights for camp or wheeling. Headache rack will be dual beams (spot and wide angle.) Back up lights are dual beam with red backlight. Going to light up the night with this business. Makes the $25 set of taillights seem ridiculously under done; but, I liked they way they look, so we will see...

Figure I will barely have $500 in the building of the flat bed but 1k in the frickin lights... Priorities!

I'd wait until black Friday. Some of their dealers are sure to have sales.
