Happened to like the grill on my SR, breaks it up a little so it doesn’t look so big.

Wouldn’t mind the larger 14” infotainment screen, guessing it is going to be quite the upcharge to get it though.

Cab high shell is the same as cab height. Though on second thought, mid-rise would be better.

Absolutely has to be a long bed.

Yeah wish the configure was up, really want to compare it the Tundra double cab, and see what compromises need to made to get the price somewhat close.

Not a fan of leather, but that Soft-Tex Toyota uses is awfully nice. Rode around in a RAV4 for a week that had them, heated and cooled. I could get used that, have to buy the premium package to get them, too much of a cheap SOB to pony up for them.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your cap statement. Clear as day re-reading it. Some reason not so clear when I quoted it.

I did drink at dinner and it all makes perfect sense now, so...

Oh, and I still think the SR grille was the best OEM grille Toyota had on a 3rd gen. I had the electric razor OR grille from '17.

I thought the dark chrome looked as good as it could on my silver, but that's about it. I did paint mine black and it looked better, but the fake Pro grille has been on the longest. If I had a SR grille, I never would have fiddled with it.

On MGM it would have went straight to the dumpster. Some colors were worse than others with it. I don't think Toyota ever got a TRD grille right on the third gen IMO.

No worries, and lol! Have a cab-hi now and wish it was a little taller.

Actually liked the electric razor grill, one of the very few that did. Considered swapping for that but won’t work with the TSS sensor on my ‘21.

All this cab-hi talk makes me think of this…

    That guy…always making food references.

That dash trim looks more like galvanized metal than concrete.

Here is the trim piece I was referring to, sorry should have been more specific. The dude in the video said it looked like concrete, dunno more like galvanized metal to me. That interior is growing me.

Funny that even he differentiates “turbo” cars versus “normal” cars.

AMD is an authority on Toyota’s, so at least it’s encouraging that he declares the (NA vs turbo) reliability gap is shrinking & turbos are no longer “horrendous”. However, just based on his advice particular to turbo motors, fast forward a few years from now:

Who wants to pay top dollar for an off-warranty used ‘24 Tacoma 2.4T w/o specific knowledge that the previous owner(s) has perfect oil changes, proper daily warmup & cooldown, constant filter changes, and did not frequently hard-throttle it off stoplights or off road. These are all relative nuances that Toyota’s NA engines have historically shrugged off in stride, which is why we buy them regardless of miles accumulated or previous owners.

Hard. Pass. For now, at least.

Bets on significant milestones happening this week?

I’m thinking if the trucks are released for drives, we’ll also (out of sheer necessity on ‘Yota Corp’s part) see the release of MPG data.

How far do you have to drive to find $8 a gallon gas I am paying 2.65 a gallon?

Federal Gov subsidizes the price you pay at the pump. Once EVs are mainstream the subsidies will likely decrease and the price at the pump will increase.

Guy over on Tacoma4G states by Black Friday. He works for a SET dealer, doesn’t sound like management but has been to press junkets. Alludes to the fact mileage will be impressive and price will be attractive. But it’s hard to say what info corporate releases to its dealers.
