Just reached out to them on the live chat feature, they won't share specs for anything other than white LEDs. I guess I can understand why - when I worked in that industry we didn't like to share specs either because crazy customers (like me now) would whine about the color being wrong. Though in this case I'm not even mad I just don't want ten different colors going on for my own OCD.

Oh well, not a big deal. Red spectrum runs like 630-700nm. MESO lights look closer to 630 while the footwell lights are a much deeper red probably closer to 700. Figure I'll just shoot for anything closer to 700 and it should be fine.

 

They wouldn't share color specs...jeez. Maybe buy a set and unsolder the LED for your dash project.

 

Has anyone used this kit with the accessorides remote start that can confirm it works? I have read the instructions and have a better look in am but seeing if it's already been done.

 

Trying to decide between white and blue..

All my interior switches are blue but map and dome lights are white.

To be clear these are always on while driving but a dimmer setting?

I want white for doors and blue for driving...any opinions?

 

Curious, can these work as under accent lighting for our trucks?

Blue messes with my eyes. I wanted somewhat have a natural color

far as I'm aware, there were door handle strip LED's (stock), and little red LED in the overhead console. That would probably come on when the light switch is turned on. AKA at night.

No idea how to wire such a thing, so that it only comes on at night. Finding a power source wire, and mounting locations would probably be the easy part. vs figuring out a way to make it so they only come on at night



the little 2 dots at front center hold 1 or 2 red LED's for interior red ambient lighting
which works great by giving a faint glow to better see buttons



so, on that note, that car in particular only comes with (I believe 2) red LED's in the front overhead console.
None in the rear overhead console for passengers
but, European models do. So, people order that and install it
or, for cheaper, they make their own by simply drilling some holes and putting LED's. Exactly what can be done to a Tacoma

I just don't know how they make it to only come on at night/with lights turned on...

this guy put some on a Tundra, but they appear to be Constant On...
and not recessed/hidden to avoid the LED shining directly into your face instead of just glowing the handle
