She got her own insurance on her range Rover. I gotta pull her off mine. It's at 11k miles on its current oil change. good luck sweetie! I can't imagine owning a car like that and now only having shops be the ones to fix it. I was able to keep it going just fine at minimal cost but I think she will end up selling it soon. Soon she will realize just how much shit I did to make her life easier.

He's still leaning towards dumping the truck going off prices for the Magnaflow cats.

Which is why it might come back to me... A flatbed and R150F/4WD conversion and that thing could replace my 99.

Do you guys have to get smogged? If not, just buy some dirt cheap cats... probably will throw a p0420 code but won't really effect anything.

Lol could be worse, you could have your storage for several years and even forget the shit you've got in it :anonymous:

Being 5mins from work was super convenient though

    I did this.
I put some crap cheap cats on my E36 - they failed after a couple of years but the car was old enough to pass inspection while throwing up to two codes.
Great car!! Put 225k ok it before it got sold.

Now we don't even have OBD based inspections.
Safety equipment only - eg do your headlights work n stuff.

    The interior door panels?
Yea those things were kind of a pain but they didn't fall off!! Just got kinda loose.

I did rip the headliner off, took the entire panel off, spray painted it black and put it back up tho..

It ain't a e36 until you slam the door and it opens back up without the panel on.

That's the plan. Just hope to get the spot next to work so it really simplifies things.

This thread does more good than bad I think. And ultimately it's the single most successful thread in this forum, it draws more traffic daily than the entirety of the rest of the 1st and 2nd gen sections combined. I can't end it haha. That said I think I'm glad I was never invited to the PMs

He's likely going to register it in a smog area soon. Only a few counties in Texas require it but he likely won't be keeping Texas registration even being active duty. Somehow his TX window registration sticker has gotten lost in the mail twice in the few years he's been out of state. And he recently had a NV cop give him grief over not running one. Texas told him he had to return in-person to his registered county DMV to get a replacement sticker.

I think the move will be Magnaflows, a cat shield, and keep the truck a bit longer. If he doesn't get a shield they'll just get stolen again immediately.

I'm driving to NYS today to visit my mom. Hopefully I don't get any road salt on my truck; I think I should just beat the onset of winter weather, but you never know. I might get some of that Eastwood internal frame coasting, but I am also leery of trapping moisture with that stuff and doing more harm than good.

Definitely don't apply that stuff to a truck that's already driven in wet weather for the season, mid summer is usually best.

Yea it's just a really humid climate here. Even in the summer there's a lot of moisture in the air. I've seen some of those Ziebert coatings accelerate rust up north, I'm not sure if the Eastwood is different though. I figure its better to just be religious about washing your frame and maybe rinse t with some salt away if you have to drive through winter weather.
