Winter mode engage.....but really just mounted my ski racks. Couldn't find mounting feet to mount my old yakimas to my t-slot racks that weren't gonna cost $60 so I fabricated my own.

Oil change, tire rotation, driveshaft and UCA ball joint lube, new TRD brake pads, and reinstalled the Thule alpine box for the skis. Now we just need snow...although I was able to get out for opening day with my son on Friday.

Removed the Roof Top Tent. After installing the pulley system onto the garage. Then installed Deaver leaf springs.

Sprayed the bolts holding it to a fair-thee-well with PB Blaster and removed the factory "skid-plate" :rofl:to inspect the steering rack boots: What a %$#*!@#:annoyed: mess! (the "skid" plate): Greasy, dirty layer from almost 10 years of catching oil and filter changes, including a lost oil cap gasket. Brake cleaner application/repair and applied some red Lucas grease to the bolt threads. They were a p-i-a to remove and the "kinda-protector" was heavier than I expected.

I know: sometimes you should just leave things alone and not go poking around looking for trouble....

Put in the SMD 4 slot fuse block and Paranoid Fab relay panel. Accidentally picked up 2ga instead of 4ga terminal lugs so the rest of the install will have to wait till this weekend.

And yes, I did put in the fuse on the left after taking this pic lol.

What pulley system did you go with? Looking for something similar to hold a popup trailer roof while I work on the trailer portion.

More mods than it should have...
Whatchu mean? Most swing out rear bumpers are $2000+, especially if you go high clearance.

you know, i know we are paying for time and someone to feed a sheet of steel though on a press and some one to weld up the bumper on a jig, but when i mentioned that i wanted one on my old beater, and my friend said i can put one together for a couple hundred, i said sure. all he asked for was a old Subaru wheel bearing. ( a the time i was working at Subaru. so dug through my scrap trailer we kept at the end of the shop in a corner) few days later some steel tubing and a that wheel bearing all sleeved up on the back of my old car looked awesome. though wish my buddy didn't just get a new kidney( glad he did though). I'd have 100% paid him to build me something fancy. once he is back up to speed I may ask him to build me something fancy
