Hell yeah! Looks awesome. Martin's sound so good too. Makes me want to buy another guitar.

I know exactly what you mean. A couple of my guitars do that when the weather changes. Wood is expanding and contracting. Time to adjust the truss rod.

Yes, I absolutely love it! I bought it as a kit and it was a lot of fun to build. It was really my first time doing that sort of thing and I feel like I learned a LOT. I want to build another now but I can't decide which one. I kind of want to do a 5F1, or maybe a Marshall clone.

Yeah, I really want a Fender Champ and those kits I keep seeing look perfect. An actual Silver face champ would be sweet too though.

I am way too scared to try any set up, which sucks because the closest tech is 30 minutes away. My ESP almost never needed set up, this guitar is a little more reactive I guess.

It's not hard, just turn in small amounts and check. Keep track of your turns so you can go back if you need too.

    I got this today.IMG_4765.jpg

I know it's not a great guitar being it's a MIM Strat with a Humbucker, but when this first came out in 2001 it's all I wanted in a guitar. Making minimum wage it was a pipe dream to get one. When Blink went on tour last year I really wanted to go, but it was $300 a person to sit behind the stage. If I went with my wife it would have been $600. I figured for the price to see them I'd have half the guitar paid for. So I jumped on it and couldn't be happier. I haven't even played it.

In HS I tried to replicate the Delonge strat with my old Tokai. It already had a humbucker in it, so I swapped it out for the Invader and got a pearloid pickguard. I hated that it was pearl white rather than bright white, but it was as close as I could get in 2001. It sounded the part but never truly looked it. I couldn't be happier.

DeLonge model should use a UFO knob; not a dome knob.

They must have changed it for the reissue then. This is brand new from Sweetwater.

    Well played.

I was scrutinizing the knob going is it different? I know there are a few subtle differences and I figured you knew something I didn’t.

    Right over my head.

Is there no bridge or saddle adjustment needed with this process?

    Sure is, but...
Buzzing on the first four four frets is not going to get solved with a truss rod adjustment...it's the frets. The only thing that solves it is a fret level and re-crown.
Seems Strandbergs have a reputation of not having level frets, frets leveled in more than one plane, etc. They are much like Toyota when confronted; "oh that's in spec; completely normal".

Without proper fretwork, your action is relegated to the least common denominator; the high frets.

IMO, any setup that doesn't start with fretwork or measurement is a hackjob; they don't understand what it takes to do am awesome setup.

Should not be. Usually it's a small amount. You need to add more relief you need to loosen yours. Probably not more than a quarter to half turn.

I'll get better pics...I literally just took it out of the bag at home at time of those pics. Just giddy lol

Prs SE Swamp Ash Special Charcoal...I been hunting Swamp Ass for about 3 yrs, got my CE 22 when a SAS deal fell thru, but the SAS calls for me. When PRS brought out the SE SAS last month I've been on an Easter egg hunt for one...finally the LGS got 1 in this morning. Yes, one. I paid a visit and checked it out...I'm literally the only person who's played it.

    I brought it home...with 10s to replace the 9s

    Stoked

It's a fine guitar...QC is top notch. Tone excellent, and I'm loving the input from the single coil center.
