Looking to get some JBA upper control arms but the red color kills me. I'm hoping to get some Kings at some point in the future so I'd like to pain these black so they don't stand out so much. I've seen mixed on top coating these vs having them stripped and powder coated again. JBA recommended top coating but I'm concerned about the durability. Has anyone done this with good results?

I believe you can order them not painted. Then just have them powder coated the color you like. I wouldn’t spray paint it will just chip off.

I emailed them and asked about it and they said they won't sell them in any form but painted red. I did read some old posts saying they used to sell the bare but it seems like they won't anymore.

I'm sure it's like most these days. Some jackass wanted them bare, then didn't prep/paint causing rust.....then blamed JBA without taking any responsibility at all.....uninformed people joined the wagon......and they just said it isn't worth it.

I have JBA's and from memory....it wouldn't be too hard to disassemble and paint any color you want.

I just sanded the gloss off and rattle canned them.

That looks like it came out well. Were the bushings tough to press out?

If memory serves, they come unattached.

Bushings were in a separate bag and easy to install.
