I worked with a fellow, his signature line was "if you can kill it with an automobile I can cook it".

The dude could seriously cook, I never had any of his road kill cooking but the stuff he brought in day to day was awesome.

It got to the point he would say "here, try this" and I wouldn't even ask what it was.

No Roadkill so far as you know:anonymous::anonymous:

Unless you were there and followed the whole process how would you know?

Got my deer butchered today. That was a lot of work, but 65 lbs of meat is a decent trade. Early on I picked a tick off my neck. Later on I took the top off one of my knuckles. :anonymous: The better half is still working, pressure canning ground and cubed venison, and making bone broth to can more ground with tomorrow.

As soon as I got done cleaning everything up from butchering I did the rear calipers and rotors on the youngest's fiance's car.

That's way too much excitement for me for one day.

Are you sure you can say that if you ate his stuff day to day?!?!?

Exactly! As long as the RK is fresh, who cares if it was harvested with a firearm or a Ford.

Anyone remember Pat McManus's character Rancid Crabtree? He was known for gifting roadkill to the poor in the area.

I've never done rear calipers... How much of a pain is it? Does the parking brake factor at all? (Thinking of doing my wife's '16 Explorer front and back - see earlier posts about the issue with getting an inspection sticker...)

Yes, not as bad as you think. My f150 has both disc rear and drum brake for emergency brake

I forgot to add in my pic, the way I have it braced turns the bench into three individual seats, as far as load carrying ability. Just a thing that goes through my three brain cells...

Not bad at all. On this vehicle, the e brake cable actuates the piston in the caliper, so the cable connects to the caliper. Otherwise, it's the same as doing the front.

I did wonder about the bracing being non-symmetrical.

Do you use a jig (Kreg ?) for the drilling?

No. I drill and space what I know from what I learned. Hard to explain. I learned the fundamentals. I only know what I know. Nothing else.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^^

If you avoid and crash, it’s failure to maintain control (your fault, chargeable accident). If you obliterate the animal and crash, it’s an act of nature/god (not your fault, non-chargeable accident). There is a difference in coverage as well, Collision versus Comprehensive. Basically, Aw Fuck! versus Ouch!
