5 x 60 lb sand bags resolves that issue.

Little Annie runs smooth as a Cadillac with the sand bags back there. No traction issues, no jostling/bouncing. It does handle very differently with the added weight.

I use it religiously cops and traffic. It helps you avoid both.

When you’re trying to add weight to the rear axle, your bed weight should be at the rear by the tailgate. It’s like a fulcrum, adding weight in the center of a teeter totter does next to nothing compared to adding it to one side
Edit: or rather, adding the weight farther from the axle increases desired effects. Traction with less weight

    This is bad advice apparently

Lazy man option: I don’t have a cap on my box, so on heavy snow days, Mother Nature adds ballast for free.

Installed Taco Garage’s DMM today. Took about 20 minutes and I now have a proper place for my phone. The mighty magnet is legit.

Quite a bit cleaner looking than the BulletPoint mount.

Yeah it’s definitely the most low profile one. I looked at them all and this one fit the bill. It’s super solid and like I said about the magnet, your phone isn’t going anywhere.

The only weight I have is my Diamondback cover and I have no issues. Plus the snow on top is an added bonus:thumbsup:

Airing down helps a ton with that jittery washboard bounce.

    @FLAK-TAC

Just pointing out that there are wee filler plugs for those empty screw holes. Makes the mount look yet even cleaner.
I got mine from ACE hardware and do not have the part number readily available. I will search and post if I find it. The plugs look like "t-caps".
Maybe someone will post them also...

I don't recall but I do know the bolts that hold the front accessory rail are the same size. I just took one out and took it to the hardware store and picked up two stainless steel bolts of the same length.

Thanks for the suggestion, Toyota doesn’t make spacers, I don’t think that sell thoughts and prayers either.

If they could figure out a way to put TRD branding on them they would.

Yes but the farther back you go with the weight the more weight you take off the front. Even with the motor up there. The best spot is just in front ( not by much mind you) of the rear axle. I have a lot of experience with weight and axles trust me.

DB SE + Cross Bin 13 full of stuff. I might throw in a couple tube sand bags. I’m hoping this set up will help. I could definitely tell the difference when I first put the DB on.
