How often do you have rear passengers? It's mostly just kids....they can deal lol

Well… they way Turd is talking gonna have 3 linebackers shoehorned in there. lol!

Me personally, maybe once or twice a year. In an access cab…which I find hilarious. Don’t get asked for rides very often, the way I like it. :) One of our camping trips, buddy want to go into town with my truck since his F350 rides like shit. Opened the door and saw my totes and gear bags, “oh”….ahh yeah didn’t buy this truck to haul people. Pulled it all out and crammed his teenage son in there. He looked miserable. Lol!

The 2nd and 3rd gen double cabs had air outlets under the front seats for the rear passengers?

@3JOH22A that's too many words for clarity, also, not sure if you are slyposting but you are liable to get roasted for that one.

Well when they do an “all new” truck and stretch the wheel base and shrink the engine you would expect to gain something. So far I haven’t really seen any benefit of this new truck over a 3rd or even 2nd gen. Other than finally entering modern times and getting rear disc brakes it’s mostly just new sheet metal and a higher price tag.

I rarely have adults in the back but do have teens back there almost daily and and their stuff like back packs and gym bags. Actually being able to put it on the floor between their legs doesn’t seem like too much to ask for.

Most new vehicles have adjustable vents coming out of the center console for the rear passengers.

Unfortunately we have this stuff called rain and snow here so putting things in the BED is not convenient.

Yes, including my 4Runner and the 2-door Jeep Wrangler. But not the Bronco, and therefore not the Tacoma. Maybe the 4Runner will get a leaky hard top next :homer:

The 2024 LC has the same engine/TNGA-F and has rear A/C vents. You would think the "common architecture" would mean the LC vent system would fit the Tacoma. Maybe they're saving it for the mid-cycle upgrade.

And lose the functionality of a truck? No thanks.

This isn't really about the 4th gen, but just a blanket opinion; any vehicle over $18k should have front and rear climate control, and any vehicle over $20k should probably have dual (driver/passenger) and rear climate control. Any vehicle over $30k should also include heated/cooled seats. Any vehicle asking $60k+ that doesn't have any of these options sounds pretty stupid to me. Unfortunately, thats most of the market, not just Tacomas.

But, its not for everyone. I get that.

I absolutely get what you're saying, but have never really sympathized with that line of thought. I thought the same thing until I got a cap. Best "mod" I've ever done to a truck, hands down. It has only increased the functionality and use of my truck.

He just likes to complain, none of the midsize have adequate rear seating . Chevy went smaller , Ford is about the same. You could buy him a cap and he still wouldn't be happy even though he didn't pay for it .
