Can't believe the rear window is still intact. Let his lady friend/girl friend borrow the truck.. she pulled out in front of someone. Poor guy just dropped his insurance down to liability only 3 months ago because he's been going through some things.. Been looking at and reading up on cab swaps. The bed is easy enough.. the cab.. idk. I've done my cab mounts.. I assume its really just those and disconnect everything else in the way.

Hasn't had it looked at yet.. I'm betting it's bent.. probably not terrible though.. as he says it drives fine actually. Lol. Side airbags went off.. but nothing else.

Need some advice. I’ve got a 1st gen xtra cab Taco and recently came in to a beautiful brand new set of Westcott sliders for a 5th gen 4Runner that I’m maybe interested in paying someone to frankenstein on to my truck. I measured these at 67” in length and found that options actually for my truck run 78-80”. How problematic would ~6” of rocker exposure on either side of the slider be? Feels unwise but looking for opinions from folks with more real world experience than me.

Not opposed to selling these to fund a proper set, but that’s more steps and not as cool of a story.

Can you DM me a few pics? At least look into the option of "extending them"?
Might have some time open up for a little side work.

Oh fuck bud! Is the frame fucked?

Edit: Just saw you say the frame should be fine. As for the cab swap. Wouldnt it just be the mounts then all the electrical stuff? I know Evan did a frame swap on his truck a few years ago. Yes he did it himself at school but still. If he could do it....
