I'm really waiting to see the CFMoto MT450. There's 3 dealers within an hour of me. If it shows to be reliable with good parts availability, it may very well be my next bike.

i like the design the one thing id like to know is how it does for long rides since it looks to be setup for it. i know my 400 at 70 is pretty damn awful for any long period of time so wonder how this one would be

The twin motor should help. I definitely won't be an early buyer, but will keep an eye on them. Also gonna go ride one when they hit the showrooms :D

Biggest problem dealing with a totaled bike would probably be with getting a title to put it back on the road. Here in PA something like that requires "enhanced safety inspection" and there are only a limited number of locations offering that service and none that I kn ow of for motorcycles. Additionally here in PA that would result in a "salvage" title being issued which could affect your ability to insure it and a serious loss of value when you try to sell it. Now if you wanted to build a track bike........

I have bought a parted out a couple of bikes a few years ago and made decent money on them when I did it.

Do you guys have to have titles if it's a certain age? In AL, anything over 25yrs just needs a bill of sale. Then when you register it, the DMV issues you a title.

so out here in mo its really easy to get a prior salvage vehicle back on the road ive owned a few of em. for us we take them to jeff city or the local highway patrol and they check it over and call it good or bad and then its good to go on the road. reason i was wondering is i found a 2022 650 ninja that was layed down but runs and drives but has plastic damage for 500

yup ive seen a few bikes and so far the 650 and the 400s are in the better shape where they went down and they got totaled but its mainly plastic damage it looks like or a dented tank. there is a brand new mt07 but its leaking oil from under it so it prob has more issues lol

PA requires titles no matter what the age. Real PITA to be honest.

I have my CB400F Honda tagged as an antique so that I no longer need to renew the plates or have it inspected annually. Only real issue there is that once you brand the title as antique it stays that way permanently. Not an issue as a collectible but there are laws against using it as a daily driver should you wish to do so.
