Grabbed these two at two different stores on the way home today. I’d consider today a lucky albeit and expensive day.

 

We got it in September in AZ. Lowest I've seen is 275.

Ok, So being 18 years old there’s tons of oak and age on it. It’s obviously very dark, I get some peanuts and caramel and a little tobacco. It’s pretty viscous for only 100 proof and has a nice long finish. I think it’s the oldest bottle I’ve ever opened and it’s just the neck pour but I think if you want to experience something very old by bourbon standards it would be hard to beat at MSRP or less.

So strangely enough I find the 12 to be MUCH more “oaky” than the 15, maybe it’s the proof difference. Love the 15, the 12 is just ok to me. I’ve had one cracked for about a year with two backups I frankly wish I could trade for something else. Oh well.

what are we all drinking tonight? This was recommended to me by a member on my new forum…. I sold my Taco and bought a Tremor so I’m over there too. FWIW we have a WAY better Whiskey thread over here!!! I happened to have this bottle in my cabinet anyway but just bought it because it was a sample at a store I frequent and I wanted to help them out.

 

Fauk.....people are just showing off now...with the exception of the Uncle... good pour though.
