a 152 weighs about as much an old VW Beetle.
Fighters don't weigh much. His gross wt is only about 30-35K, now a C-130, C-17 or a C-5. For those bois I'd look up the bridge specs before crossing...

Jump to the 2:20 mark. That shot of TEB is just about always awesome to see. Wish there was some 4K footage! NASA, how about you green one of those Blackbirds back up, and give us some footage.

Another impressive TEB shot. Jump to the 1:40 mark.

My son-in-law is a FO for a charter company that flies from Opa Locka Exec. He flies C90 and B200 King Airs and last week took Cole Hauser and family as passengers. I kidded him that he got to take Rip Wheeler to the Plane Station.

I misread that as Teterboro airport and was looking for familiar landmarks

The more I read up on the SR-71, the more I am intrigued and amazed by it

Personally I like the A-12 and it's history better.

I’ll have to start looking into that airframe as well. I’ll add it to the to do list and maybe get around to it in 20 years after my kids are out of the house.

I'm intrigued by it. But due to the CIA flying it, and much of its data still classified, it's easier to learn more about the SR-71. A lot more pilot stories are available on the SR vs the A-12. Though there are a couple interesting videos from the few pilots that flew both. Just finished watching a clip of one of my favorite Bombers, to find out the B-58 pilot community comprised a lot of the early SR-71 crews.

It's a pity that it never reached a "D" model, so that our enemies could truly know that they'd been B-One'D!!!

As much as I love the B-1, the TU-160, still steals my glance! And it holds a TON of ordinance!

My neighbor at Ellsworth AFB (outside Rapid City), was one of the early members of the SR-71 program. He was coming from the B-52 community at EAFB. This was in 1962-64 time frame. I never learned what job he had there (was secret at the time and I haven't looked since), but I think he was flight crew.
I am blanking on his name just now (61 yrs later, wonder why?). Will look it up and add it later today.

(He could have been with the B-58s at some point before EAFB, of course. Same as he could have been with B-47s prior to B-52s.)

Here's a few highlights from Warbirds Over Monroe (NC). While it's certainly not the biggest airshow out there, they always put on a great show with some legendary and often rare aircraft. One of those in attendance this time was the P-63 Kingcobra. As I understand, this is only one of three or so still airworthy. The Tora! Tora! Tora! demo was great too. Warbirds Over Monroe is always held on Veterans Day weekend, and they center a lot of the program around honoring veterans.
