You can get either engine with the limited.

You can use 106-95mm hubcentric rings to fit older wheels on 4th gen. The other way around is more dodgy.

lol, I do like the look and designs of late. But vehicles like the Cyber Tuck and most domestics look awful. Everyones cookie crumbles different. :headbang:

Think you’re $3000 too low on your base prices.

True. It says I force max available for the Limited on Toyota’s website.

    Lol! Indeed it does!

Honestly I don’t really care for any of the new vehicles, there isn’t anything out there screaming “I gotta have that!” Only thing I like is the Rivian SUV, too bad they are so dang expensive.

Like the old iron styling-wise, but to get it to modern standards…rather smash my thumbs with a sledgehammer.

In that TFL Camry video they drive the older Camrys and one of the earlier ones only cost $7K. Now a hybrid Camry is $30K. WTF. That’s around what I paid for my truck.

Everything is expensive these days. Think the latest Corolla is about the size of the original Camry, and starts just over $20K, that seems reasonable in this day and age for basic transportation. Buddy of mine got tired of putting gas in his Tacoma and bought one, loves the gas mileage. He is fairly hardcore, puts most of the overland bros to shame, he camps out it. Tent, ground pad, sleeping bag…and a mountain bike rack. That’s it.

If the leaks are accurate, prices are up significantly, as we all expected. And Toyota would argue that the overall engineering, design, and safety improvements to the truck easily justify those increases.

However, if trading off a Gen3, be prepared to also budget extra money for basic content that you currently take for granted. On top of the base trim increases, prices will escalate further for packages that include power seats, sliding rear glass, a bed outlet, or apparently, even side blinkers (head scratcher on that one..).

Might be wise to hang onto your money a year or so, just to see if Toyota juggles some of the packages & content based on early buyer feedback.

Cobbled together display model with 4x2 transmission and no T-case, but with CV axles.

Most of us are not and just happy with our tried and true trucks. Not sure why you have this underlying agenda, some people just like older gens for certain reasons and not every gen is better than the other gen, but overall I agree its a nice update in many areas, though not perfect and time will tell how it delivers and hopefully nothing like the current Tundra flop.

First of all it was said in jest. Second of all my agenda is commenting on what I see. My agenda is to express my opinion and respect others' opinions. Nothing wrong with that. To me at least.

Interesting that there were no disclaimers that the Camry was preproduction and some of the materials are not representative of the production models. Makes you wonder if they rushed the Tacoma reveal.

Wouldn’t mind the 4G chassis/drivetrain with my 3G ACLB body. :D prefer the interior looks and functionality over what the 4G is offering too.

Another note: like the Ramcharger’s application of a hybrid drivetrain. That makes more sense than what Toyota is doing. An ICE engine converted to run on hydrogen would get it closer to carbon neutrality, would cover a lot of bases.

Might be a good thing the Tundra is a flop, probably get a better deal on one. It is butt ugly, sure does drive awfully nice though. Might be able to get a DC6.5’ bed cheaper than a Taco DCLB. More power, better capabilities, smidge more room…

Probably get flack for this, nice to see a 4 cylinder in there. Since the original trucks had 4 slugs, it is like going back to their roots, instead this one has a touch more oomph. :)

But it has a turbo....and turbos are bad and apparently only good for mowing lawns. :D
