    Hey all,

I am new to the Taco world and looking to do little things here and there. I've already replaced the headlights, added a Volant CAI and a few other things.

Thinking about throwing a 2" lift on it (maybe the OME Essentials), as well as some slightly larger tires (maybe 265/17/17) but have a little concern that it may be too much for the wife to get in/out of, since the PreRunner is a taller vehicle already.

Would like to hear your thoughts on this and if doing a 2" with tires/wheels would raise it up a ton.

Well....a 2" lift will raise the truck....... 2". Assuming you meant 265/70/17 tires...thats 1.14" larger than stock. Your new height would be 2.57" over stock. Is that too high for the wife? :notsure:

You are correct, I did mean 265/70/17, thank you.

Maybe a silly thought, but would putting blocks or ramps under the wheels at the appropriate height, say 2.5" be a good way to simulate what the truck would sit like?

Yeah that would be one way to do it. Drive onto some 2x4's, use a floor jack, a ruler and your imagination.
