True story time…

Speaking of Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, did I ever get drunk and tell y’all about the time I got to dance with one? Not one of dem old Super Bowl era ones, she’s still currently on the squad. I don’t even remember her name but she’s a friend of my niece and was at her wedding. Which was a huge shindig that must have cost a fortune. Anyway, I got lucky and found myself seated beside her. She was probably thinking “How did I get so unlucky to have to sit by this old fart?”
Anyhow, we got to talking football and I got brave enough to ask her to dance. I’m sure she accepted out of pity but it was nice of her. I made sure to be a perfect gentleman. After all, I have stuff in my fridge older than her. A fond memory anyway.

I should have taken pics. Not of just her. But the wedding was held at a ranch outside Dallas that specializes in catering to that sort of thing. It was a gorgeous place. Heavily forested with streams and little waterfalls and stuff. Populated with tame longhorn cattle. But it was winter and my chihuahua was just a puppy then. I had to keep her under my coat and didn’t really have a free hand. That was the only time I ever had to use my fancy-shmancy ditch lights on my Tacoma. The road out of there was narrow and twisty through the thicket.
