He just fixed this brake fluid leak this past weekend. He also finally got his tags in date after getting a warning from a city cop and a ticket from a state trooper a couple months ago

Totally forgot about Road Hazard protection from Firestone, they're either gonna patch it in which case I may encounter a box of screws in the same tire tomorrow or theyll replace the pro-rated tire. Crisis averted.

Thank God I remembered this today instead of next week when I'm off. This piece that holds the turkey in the smoker, I made it a few years ago. It's in the top right drawer of the grill we had at the old house. We gave the grill to our mail lady's cousin. Wherever that is.

    Crisis averted.

Inventory of the Lowes in my area is a mess. I searched online that showed they have three, and their associates can't find them.

This week we made a wiring harness that ties into the factory bed lights on our Raptor to add some articulating "scene" lighting. Tried to do it with a Baja Designs squadron first and blew a fuse lol. So, we had a small Rigid Industries ignite spot light laying around that we rigged up instead. Overall it works pretty well, but we still want something a bit brighter. Going to try a small BD light and see if that works.

Well fellers, it is a nice day here in the boondocks so I decided to escape the cellar and drill the hole for the propane line.

It needs to go here, that space is about 5"... The chimney is not used.

    KIMG3538.jpg

This old place isn't well built (or maintained) and has no shortage of bad wood + cracks and crevices....

Except right here which is solid as a bridge.
To add complexity there is the chance of drilling into the floor - or the kitchen cabinets.

Too much work for my compact Makita, naturally my 1/2" mid size drill is at the garage. Big iron time.

    KIMG3539.jpg

After about an hour of fussin' & cussin' the hole saw broke through and I hear a "clunk"...

Pull the drill back and find:

    KIMG3536.jpg

My hole saw is now located in the farthest corner of the crawlspace.
And yes I said :censored:, :censored: and :censored: too.

Then I dropped the chuck key in here...

    KIMG3537.jpg

    Job is right on schedule.:ballchain:

Still avoiding the cellar I thought I might try the attic over the kitchen.

    KIMG3540.jpg

I haven't been up here in 20 or more years. I'm hoping to not suddenly find myself crashing through the kitchen ceiling. :fingerscrossed:

Firestone guy was amazed I'm still riding my Diehard battery from 12/16 in this truck. Of course they always try to upsell but I'm riding this battery out, I keep my Noco jump box charged and ready for the day it dies. Tire patched, and I'm on my way. That hazard protection paid for itself today.

I just remembered, last time I was up here I could crawl on my knees -- it was a long time ago and now I can't.
