Take it back. Tell them to fix it or have them pay for the dealer to do it.

 

That sucks. The sensor angle somehow changed in the process. Try adding washers one at a time under the screw thst holds the sensor to slightly adjust. If still off you need a costly dealer trip to reset it.

 

Haja. Yup. Started shopping already. Might have to be a spring time purchase. Not gonna use insurance for this mishap. Have a declining detuctable for years of good driving. Next year it’ll be $0 if I don’t use it. Bumps back up to $500 if I do, plus adds the claim and with Insurance companies dropping users with multiple claims, this one isn’t worth the risk. so cash it’ll be

This is what dreams are made of! You can convince her. Especially if the check from the insurance more than covers it, you can treat her to a nice dinner as well.

 

Kick out saves the day!

 

Definitely worth the investment! I have misjudged my positioning and more than once and the kick out saved my back door and rocker panel in both instances. There are a lot of good options out there and I went with the RCI 20° sliders.

 

Either leave it with them until they make it right or deal with the dealership. If it was working before they disassembled it they need to figure it out.

I think the two of us have pumped our @RCI-Offroad sliders and skids enough here they should send us a t-shirt or bottle opener . But I'm fortunate to be near enough to pick things up (RSG is even closer but their prices are s-c-a-r-y).

Cruising home from work tonight: 3 deer crossing the road............one had made it across, one was in the middle, directly in front of me, the other just behind. Went from 70 mph to 20 mph in about 25 yards. Thank God for anti-lock brakes. How the hell I missed them all only God knows.
