Yeah, I never played back in 2018 so the nostalgia isn't there for me but man has the skill ceiling been high the last couple weeks lol. Makes sense that everyone coming back for the old map is the cause
Yeah rocket league is next level, I'm not terrible at it but every so often we'll play a team that has me questioning my life lol. Seen some incredible stuff on youtube from players who pull it off on the reg haha

I just started pricing out what a garage may cost me to build or have delivered as a modular system at my house. Either way, I do not like how cheap it will not be! I have not measured out what size I want, but I think a 30' wide and tall enough for a lift. There are a few trees I need to have come down first, then a foundation. Steel buildings are becoming very appealing to me for their cost, but I have not looked into them enough to see about insulating them and using them in the winter.

I to like to break out those old consoles, but usually I will just go and use my raspeberry pi or play on an emulator on my regular PC. Heck, these days you can go to sites like vimm.net and play any nes, snes, genesis, etc right in the browser. Then there is another site called nes.party where you can play the game in the emulator online with a friend. Get that coop experience from different locations.

Yeah its insane how fast it adds up. If you have the time, the resources, knowledge etc building yourself is great. but its hours of hours of days of dedicated work. Thats typically what youre paying someone else for. The cost of the materials at this point doesnt help. Add in the fact that I am just helping my FIL on my days off, its only a roof over the deck, and this is taking weeks.

It is like the whole new roof I put on one of my sheds this summer. There was much more rot than I thought, needed a few new rafters, plywood, etc. I have not done a roof in quite a while so it was slow going, and during the hottest part of the damn summer. Even this took me maybe 2 weeks working after work or weekend if the weather allowed it. So a full garage would take forever. I kick myself now for buying shingles that were just bareeeely a different color. Oh well! At least it is waterproof.

A modular structure or steel is where Im going. I could definitely get behind something like this https://www.versatube.com/building-kits/garages-buildings/frontier-garage-22-w-x-24-l-x-12-h

I could definitely get on board with that. I would also have to imagine itd be easy enough to spray insulation on the inside and then cover it with a thin layer of plywood or something. They might even make insulation kits....Ive not done too much looking into the "kit" type stuff

There are insulation kits you can put in to these things. So I get a foundation poured with drains, have the garage installed, then get electrical run to it.

All I really want is a dry place to keep my miata in the winter and my wife still wants a 2000s era VW cabrio. Insulation and heat would only be used when working on the vehicles in the winter as I plan to also have a lift. Otherwise, the daily driver will live in the garage in the "basement" of the house where it doesnt get below the high 30s.

I’m not sure when we started playing Fort but it was pretty early so the throwback to classic maps is really fun for us. Plus for a while the game got a little insane with zombies and flying ships that blast lasers and all this crap. The simplicity we really liked about the original version.

Rocket League is a whole different beast. I enjoy it for sure but it can be two different games. You watch the top guys volley and basically play an entire game in the air. It’s not even remotely close to what I’m doing lol.

Oh I think back during and after high school when COD 4 came out I had well over 1000 hours of playtime if not 2000. It was insane. Go to school, sports practice or games after and straight to video games when home haha.

Yeah I think I started like 2 or 3 map changes ago, if they brought one of those back I'd be a happy camper haha. But yeah I have a love/ hate relationship with RL, one night I'm on fire and the next I'm missing open nets, there is no I'm between lmao

Steam has me clocked in at just over 1700 hours. That might not include the time played when using the modlauncher. I imagine it would but it is at least that many hours lol. My friend mostly (with a small amount of my help) has made 2 mods for the game (using nexusmods) We are currently in the process of building our own mod/overhaul.
