Trail Run - Turkey Creek 5/17

I was just looking at weather. Going to be interesting to see what we end up with.

 

The rain at least will keep the dust down! Think ill drag my fire pit and the orange canopy?
Little morning showers to start the trek, should be fun either way!

 

Are there fire restrictions right now? I was going to bring down a bit of wood so we have some already dry and ready to go.

 

I was going to ask about fires. I could pick up a few bundles of wood as well if needed.

Looks like the biggest chance of rain is Friday evening into early Saturday morning. Wouldn't be a TW outing without rain lol

 

I have plenty here at my house. I go wood cutting every year. Dont waste your money on it. And yeah rain or snow is common lol.

As of today they say No, so looks like we can have a good one! Might bring the portable anyway for a quick way to warm up in the am? Beats starting up another wood fire just to piss it back out.

 

Yeah that will be handy in the morning. Then we wont be smelling like smoke all day either.

Just got heads up from my buddy. He found a few spots he will go scout tomorrow and get us some coords.

 

I'm sure my wife would appreciate the moring fire.

 

Have a meeting at 715 and another at 1. Then I am blowing this popsicle stand. Hopefully it is a easy day and no problems arise. *knocks on wood*

 

Yeah buddy!! I probably won't be able to break free untill at least 3. Going to be a long day.....

 

Yeah it will be around 2 I am hoping to get out. But still have a 3 hour drive with my 5vz motor even going down hill hahaha

 

Im pack and loaded, need to add the beers and ice and I'm set. Hope to be off early and convoy with you
It was about 2hr 15min door to door with a poo break last weekend! You should be rolling by my place about the time im pullin in from work.

 

At least you are already on that side of town! Looking forward to this trip

 

Yeah I was just giving myself a bit more time cause I can only do like 15mph going up the canyon wall. The runner is a dog on pavement but really fast on dirt.

 

Of course take your time, let me know when you get into town and will see about a timing!

Yeah I will keep you posted as I leave town and what my progress is. I just need to throw beers in and go to the store but I am going to do that in about a hour.

No worries, next time! Being new to the area I like meeting new people. I would like to see more get togethers / trial runs. Specially during the nice months!

 

There are nice months all year. Just depends on the season how far you have to drive.

Edit: I will fill you in on the good spots in person this weekend.
