My 2021 Taco and the wife's 2020 Rav4 cost about $$2200 per year for full coverage. Neither of us have had an accident or moving violation in 10 years or more. Go figure.

I'm be interested in changing the badges from chrome to either black or bronze.
Is there a way to do this?

My state average increase was like 30% last year for auto/home insurance based on an article I read (and my statements!). Wildfire, hail, and a massive increase in auto theft. Plus I'm still insuring an 18 year old mail. Some days I feel like my insurance payment matches my mortgage (thankfully it doesn't; just feels like it). I have USAA and they've been good. Not sure they are going in the direction I like though; getting more generic and outsourcing everything. And playing the bundling game (i.e., only affordable if you put everything w/ them).

Yes, overlays are fast to install and pretty cheap. Toyota sells a set for ~$160, but Amazon has some in the $30 range. I think you can also get all black badges from Toyota but they aren't cheap either.
There used to be many options but there's been a crackdown on copying branded items. You will lose the 'holes' in the letters with the overlays, even OEM.

Reading now, it seems like it is all a scam. Or, the insurance companies are getting scammed all the time.

    FYI: https://www.kiplinger.com/personal-finance/insurance/car-insurance-rates-keep-rising

BTW, I'm paying $1,500.00 for 6 months in Florida. For ONE 2020 Tacoma. The system is F'd up I would say.

Probably the best option you can get. I have them and they are great but they went up this year for my 2020 Tacoma and wife’s 2020 4Runner. When I asked them why, they stated parts for the 4Runner went up to replace. Didn’t really make sense.

I’m a longtime USAA member and policy holder but they are losing customers in droves the last few years. Rates are going up on all their coverages. They still provide great service but it’s not the bargain it used to be and it hasn’t been for a while now.

Also, my understanding is that where you live has as big an impact on your rates as your driving history does. Some areas just have a lot more claims than others regardless of how good a driver you are. Insuring a car in a hurricane state will cost more than other areas.

Do those lights on the truck need a 20A fuse on the secondary fuse-block?

EDIT: I do recall some people posting that their dashboard "lit up like a Christmas tree" ... hmmm ...

I have a center console safe and MESO's Stealth Pro shift knob, with buttons to control ECT mode and something else, so it took me longer than most to do this. Without those installed, you could easily do this in less than 20 minutes and probably more like 10. This will get you most of the way there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxdZdo__4l8 After that, you just need to remove the three Phillips screws holding in the lower front part with the charger and it pulls out.

Looks sick, used to do the same on my old Honda Accord. FWIW, I got pulled multiple times on my way home from work for having those same lights (red, green, orange and blue). Cop said I was impersonating an emergency vehicle... mkay scrooge.

Switched to just red and green and never had another run in... Just be ready for that conversation

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
GEICO tried to jack mine way up and after 32 years with them I don't think they thought I would leave, Well they were wrong! I did now I use USAA much better. Switched my homeowners insurance at the same time from Allstate to USAA as well.

I seem to recall a thread about something squeaking around the front right hand tweeter, it was tight on the windshield side, I believe it was the grill for the speaker or something.

They need to add an "I dont care if it takes me a little longer to get there, just keep me moving and out of stop-and-go traffic" option

sounds like they are trying to pass the Buck. If your dash was fine when you “took” it in, it should be fine when you “take” it out..
