Man, what a busy 4-day weekend. Got a lot of stuff done though.

    - Fully installed Kings 2.5
    - New rotors and pads
    - New SPC UCA installed
    - Napa CV axle installed (need another one for the other side though, inner boot is getting close on the drivers side)
    - Emergency purchase of new stock LCA and installed
    - Alignment checked

Talk about a huge PIA it was though. Got my LCA out with a little sawzall action. Only had to cut one bushing & sleeve. Struggled to press out the bushings, tried everything I could to get it out. My 12T Harbor Freight press couldn't handle the job. The 26 piece Powerbuilt Autozone special didn't have the correct cups so I panicked and picked up some LCA's from the dealership. When I get feeling back into my legs and arms, I'll try to get them pressed out but I couldn't risk cutting it close. The truck had to be back together by Saturday for an alignment on Sunday. My CV fought me too, it separated at the inner joint and my jerry rigged slide hammer wasn't cutting the cake so I had to remove the front steel skid plate and bang it out with a newly purchased prybar. I don't mind it when things go right but when panic sets in when things start falling apart... No bueno. Thought I had the right sized socket for the axle nut, apparently I didn't. Had to run to pick one of those up. Next 4 day weekend ill have a bit more to do which will be over Thanksgiving. Still to-do:

    - Pull and refresh my rear leaf packs (new bushings, anti-squeak pads, and centering pins with a clean and repaint)
    - Pull and refresh my armor (grind and repaint)
    - Polish my headlights
    - New CB on the driveshaft (but I may hold off and do the U-joints at the same time)
    - New muffler & resonator (maybe, muffler is cracked but I may live with it until later)
    - Possible wheel bearing, it's a bit "noisy". No play but when you turn it unloaded, you can hear a slight grinding sound. The other side is quiet.
    - Transmission drain and fill
    - Front diff & T-case drain and fill

Priorities is the leaf springs as I suspect that it may be a cause of the rear end clunk, or at least playing into a part of it. It's not a stop and go clunk, it's more of a rattle tied to engine RPM. Even when at a standstill just above idling RPM, I'll hear the rattle so I don't think it's CB or leaf spring related. It might be fuel tank related but when I'm in the cab of the truck, it sounds like its coming from the rear passenger which leads me to believe it's tied into the cracked muffler. Oh well, find and fix issues as I come across them to get another 12 yrs out of the truck at least. Maybe I'll look at picking up a creeper, body hurts crawling under the truck more and more. I'm not ready to feel this way.

    -J

Ive tried using a creeper a couple of times. now my vehicles aren't lifted and I just lost too much wriggle room when on the creeper. I still end up just rolling around on the ground just to gain those extra few inches of room.

Hit up horse pasture road. Pretty easy trail but hit some loose gravel halfway in that ended up being annoying. Probably try again Wednesday just didn’t want to push it. Absolutely beautiful scenery.
