As you probably would if you are a firefighter putting out fires, also. It was simply an observation about two diametrically opposed comments from two different people; both of whom are generally well respected on "60+ year old" thread.

Even all gnarly looking, that freakin' thing (looks like an R-2800 "B" Series of some sort) is a work of art.

At least I have a "little brother" around for inspiration and reference! (though they are not the same at all!)

If you tie buttered toast to a cats back and drop it, which side lands up?

I'm back among the living, mostly. I've been down and out for the past week due to Chinaflu, courtesy of the wife (teacher's aide), who brought me a present for my week off.

Looks like I'll miss opening weekend, as I don't think the hunting buddies would appreciate me bringing the rona to camp.

I thought I had a picture of the placard for the motor, but I can't find it. Here's the nameplate! We may never know anything specific about the old beast. Think of those poor guys in the drafting room, with nothing but slide rules...."just add another 9 cylinders!"

Nice how the more modern bikes can accommodate a higher current draw.

You are a good man. Vehicle fires are really dangerous.

Good evening. Made it home with no problems. Only a few drivers doing stupid stuff. I was hoping the Po Po would have pulled the one guy over but sometimes they are not where you need them.

Need to rest and relax tonight. Tomorrow will be busy. Took the turkey out of the freezer when I got home. Putting it into a brine next Tuesday evening. Going to take a brisket out of the freezer tomorrow and smoke it Wednesday into the night then let it rest in a cooler overnight. I will probably do some sauced up burnt ends on Thanksgiving morning.

    Evening everyone:hattip:

Busy day today !! , first i was at physical therapy and I was struggling today with balance and coordination exercises . Something as easy as walking I would trip myself causing me to stumble . Without my pt there holding me from falling I would have been on the floor numerous times

I also noticed as i did my pt that I started walking with a strange gait and Ican't walk normal no matter how I try to think it thru

After PT was over I had to.take Gunny , my 1.5 yr old cat to the vet for his annual check up and also update his vaccines

I've been working pretty consistently on the body swap... M37 on a '78 Chevy 3/4 ton chassis. My wife has named the truck, Romeo. My brother came up to help with some stuff a couple of weeks ago and left an electric hoist behind. He wanted to give it to me because he has two, but I slipped him a check for a lot less than it's worth. The floor/firewall of the Chevy is butchered pretty severely, and the floor is out of the M37 cab so now I just have to splice them together. Hopefully I can take them to the welder next week. And that will be the toughest part done. Yee Haw!

    Evening all:

Not looking good, tomorrow is the last day of archery, and we have NOTHING! :(

Called Excalibur about the limb that is delaminating, they said they would send me a new set and to throw the old ones away.
I don't wish it to be a hassle and am glad it was easy, but I'm sure that someone will take advantage of getting a spare set of limbs without paying for them by saying they have a problem with the limb/ limbs on their bow and really don't, I think I paid just over $100 for a spare set.

Try and tie anything to a cat and you stand a good chance (well deserved) of losing an eye, getting bit, or at least scratched. Please don’t taunt critters even as a joke.

There isn't a joke in the world that doesn't make fun of something painful or stupid. It's called humor.

:annoyed: nothing like having your medication alarm go off when you are in the bathroom and you turn it off and tell yourself you'll take them as soon as you get out. Then you have to take the dogs out.... come back in and forget to take them for 2 hours :angrygirl:

    evening boys

I understand what you are saying but for cat people and dog people (I’m both)it’s like joking about a child. Wouldn’t be funny if your daughter was substituted for cat. I’m just saying people get a little sensitive if you joke about their children or their critters.

Didn't really get a damn thing done today other than cook some steaks for my wife's dinner. Tomorrow I'm going to look at a new vehicle for myself.
