This bottle is just good enough not to be a mixer, but also not good enough that I'm not trying to hurry up and finish it so I can replace it in the cabinet with something better.

WTF! what state are you in? Texas seems to be on a drought. With the exception of Weller 12 dropping 2 weeks ago.

 

Actually picked up two M10Rs, one is for a buddy.

They are super expensive and will only get worse. My daughter is turning 13 and never fails to amaze with how awesome of a person she is turning out to be.

Must be a Northern California thing, just finished up a trip to LA, closest thing to rare bourbon I came across was $125 Weller SR. I wanted to tell those shop owners ‘you know that’s a $40 bottle and doesn’t belong on the highest shelf behind the counter, right?’

 

All about who you know since it's not state owned.
SoCal has been getting so much more than NotCal this year - they've had all Wellers at their Costco's and Sam's Clubs, big Michter drops everywhere, great stuff at Total Wines and BevMos, etc.
If you talk with the store owners, they'll wheel and deal with you. Also have to ask if they have anything behind the counter or in the back.

But…someone is buying it for that price or they wouldn’t be selling it at that price. So blame the buyers not the sellers.

 

lol $40 bottle? I think I paid $15 per bottle at Buffalo Trace just a few short years ago…
